Once the Republic Military transitioned to Phase II clone trooper armor, clone gunners were also provided with the upgraded clone trooper armor. One variant of the armor included helmet modifications, as well as a large chest and right shoulder pauldron. Clone majors were equipped with this Phase II clone gunner armor. Clone commandos wore Katarn-class armor, a heavier version of the standard-issue clone trooper armor.I also appreciate the additional detailing for the torso print here – representing the character with the additional shoulder-style armour piece which he does utilise in-universe. This is an incredible unique – and arguably un-recognisable – variation of a clone trooper which appears in Revenge of the Sith, and is a figure which I thought we’d never see LEGO attempt to create, so it is awesome that this set brought it into the line.
THE CLONE WARS SERIES-INSPIRED DESIGN: Fans can imagine scenes from the Star Wars Galaxy with this premium roleplay helmet inspired by the animated series Clone gunners once again took part in the Battle of Ryloth, when the AT-TE walkers of the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps were deployed to liberate the Twi'lek homeworld. Set 75047 presents an opportunity to get one of the arguably most unique and most interesting Clone Trooper Phase II designs which is out there – a 91 st Recon Corps trooper, who many individuals like to say is the named trooper ‘Commander Neyo’ from Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Whether you believe this is Neyo himself or just one of his troopers, it is undeniable that this is a fantastic and unique Clone Trooper from the third episode in the prequel trilogy – and is a character who many fans probably never expected to get their hands on. If you are a fan of clone troopers then I doubt you will want to miss this incredibly unique LEGO Phase II Clone Trooper. The Mk I Katarn-class Commando Armor was a variant of the commando armor. Consisting of an environmentally sealed durasteel suit worn over an insulated and breathable, ballistic-fiber bodysuit, the Mk I version was considered one of the most advanced sets of armor ever produced by the Republic Military. Many Clone trooper commanders, Clone commandos and Shadow Clone Troopers had special attachments on their armor, and allowed some lower ranked officers to wear special attachments as well. Some special attachments included kamas and pauldrons, they could also attach electrobinoculars and sun visors to their helmets.
