Udonna and the teens take Calindor to Root Core, but as they enter, Clare alerts them to trouble in the city - the teens immediately morph and, via their Mystic Racers, fly out. Udonna introduces Clare to Calindor, who Clare is refered to by as a bumbling servant, and Clare doesn't appreciate this reference. Calindor takes a look at the crystal ball, which Clare comments alerts them to dark magic; next she notes that there was dark magic in the woods just before Calindor appeared. Suddenly the crystal ball fills with dark magic once more, this time in Root Core - alarmed, Clare calls Udonna over. Calindor manages to clear the crystal ball, which, when Udonna looks at, is now normal; Udonna assumes Clare was simply excited, but Clare knows what she's seen. Calindor continues to stroll around Root Core, looking at various items. Jenji peeks out of his lamp and becomes alarmed - before he can alert Udonna and Clare, Calindor places a large book on top of the lamp, trapping Jenji. Udonna walks over and Calindor tells her he has bad news for her: he tells her that Daggeron betrayed them and succumbed to dark magic, before next telling her also that this was how he was cursed and trapped in the cave, never aging - she is stunned and can't instantly believe that Daggeron would possibly betray them; to make matters worse, Udonna doesn't hear Jenji's muffled attempts to alert her to danger. Gekkor, Sculpin, and Matoombo enter where Necrolai had found Leanbow. Sculpin demands that Leanbow appear, as they know he is here. Leanbow does not appear. Sculpin uses his staff and shatters the glass that kept Leanbow hidden from them. Leanbow tells them he knows why they have come. Sculpin demands that Leanbow release the Master. Leanbow tells them he doesn't think so. In the Inner Sanctum, Itassis reports that Hekatoid has captured Udonna. Itassis tells them the Rangers care deeply for her. Leelee sneaks into the Sanctum and hears their conversation. Sculpin summons Necrolai and asks her if she has found Leanbow yet. Necrolai has not. Sculpin is quiet adamant that he wants Leanbow found. Necrolai storms past her daughter. Necrolai feels that Hekatoid has made her look bad by capturing Udonna, she should have done that. Leelee has followed her mother and asks her if it isn't wrong to capture someone who is weak. Necrolai tells Leelee that she had gotten soft and has spent too much time with the humans. Necrolai reminds Leelee that one day she will be Queen of the Vampires. Leelee asks her mom if she doesn't want to be Queen of the Vampires, she would still be her daughter? Necrolai becomes fed up with Leelee and pushes her to one side, telling her she doesn't belong here. Of the Zords and Megazords in Mystic Force, the Unizord and the Phoenix Unizord are the Zords that have the least amount of appearances, as they appear in only 1 out of the 32 episodes of Mystic Force. The Phoenix unizord is also one of the few megazords in the series to be used only once. At Root Core, Udonna has the teens going through some trust exercises, which are going well until Clare walks in with baby Fire Heart - the boys & Vida then surround Clare and coo over Fire Heart; Madison, unaware, continues with the exercise and lands on the floor - Udonna then helps her up. The crystal ball alerts the teens to dark magic in the woods and they immediately leave to investigate.

This is the first episode to feature a Gold Ranger since Power Rangers In Space's " Countdown to Destruction". At Root Core, Jenji is feeding Fire Heart. Daggeron tells Jenji that he is worried that Udonna and Clare may be in trouble. It's been several days and they haven't heard from them. The crystal ball alerts them. Daggeron and Jenji hurry over. It's Clare within the crystal ball. Clare tells them that Udonna has been captured by a large, blue toad. Daggeron tells Clare to return to Root Core. Clare refuses, she is determine to find Udonna and leaves before Daggeron can utter another word.Extraordinary Jumper: Despite the Solar Streak Megazord's bulky appearance, it can jump at surprisingly long heights. Following S.P.D., whose episodes had one word titles, Mystic Force's episodes (with the exception of The Snow Prince) all have two words in them as an in-joke to director Bruce Kalish. Deep in the Inner Sanctum, Necrolai watches as Gekkor battled Leanbow. Leanbow still refuses to let the Master rise. This is also the first series in which the auxiliary Zords do not combine in any way with the Ranger's primary Megazord.

On the train, Pink Ranger makes sure Matoombo is okay. They have just gotten settled when Gekkor appears. Vida battles Gekkor, determine not to let him harm Matoombo. Pink Ranger is not having much success. Matoombo tells his new friend to step aside and Matoombo blasts Gekkor. Vida opens the portal and Gekkor falls through the portal and floats in the unknown dimension. Gekkor vows he will find Matoomba and make him pay.
