Erin Hawkins's writing is witty and very funny, and she managed to give both Chloe and Barrett a distinctive voice. I loved Chloe's in particular, because her sense of humor is pretty similar to mine and it was easy to fall into a laughter while reading her thoughts about her fake-boyfriend. It had little to do with the bond itself, even though the connection flared brighter, stronger than ever.
