About this deal

Wound wash is nothing more than a saline solution used to treat minor cuts and wounds, including piercings. It is salt and water, as are all saltwater solutions. You can make your own solution just by adding some amount to sea salt with some quantity of water. Take your Neilmed wound wash solution and spray a small amount of it in the air to clear the nozzle and test its stream. The solution is entirely safe for use for piercings since it is preservative and drug-free, ensuring there are no stinging or burning sensations upon application. It has no additional ingredients, other than the ones mentioned, that are harmful to your piercings. The most important aspect of the saline wound wash is to use a suitable cleansing agent. This should be determined based on the clinical evaluation of the patient. There are many options available, including sterile cleansing products and antiseptic wound cleaners. The latter can be applied to both the patient’s skin and the wound itself. You should also consider the possibility of a foreign object being present in the wound when using a saline solution. Avoid submerging the piercing in unhygienic bodies of water such as lakes, pools, hot tubs, etc. Or, protect your piercing using a waterproof wound sealant bandage. These are available at most drugstores and work best for nipple, navel, and surface piercing placements.

Cleaning your piercing is essential during the healing period; you can not avoid your cleaning procedure until the piercing is not healed correctly. Moreover, you may only hold your fresh piercing while sterilizing it. Using a neti pot, ear bulb, or saline rinse bottle, squeeze the solution into the right then the left nostril. Keep the head over a sink or bath, as the solution will come out of the nostrils. Using a clean, sterile paper towel or tissue, carefully dry the piercing. Avoid using a cloth to dry since germs or snag on the jewelry may spread.

Showers tend to be safer than taking baths, as bathtubs can harbor bacteria. If you bathe in a tub, clean it well before each use and rinse off your piercing when you get out. The piercing should be directly dipped in the saline solution for cleaning it. If not possible, you can simply pour the lukewarm solution slowly and directly on the piercing. It can also be sprayed directly on it if you are using a spray.

Tongue piercings are not for the faint of heart, and honestly, kudos to anyone who gets them. The first concern, of course, is how you eat after you get the piercing. But don’t worry, you don’t have to get on any special soup diet while your piercing heals. You should, however, opt for colder foods and beverages, since they can help keep the swelling down and refrain from eating spicy food. Infinite Body Piercing also urges you to keep the alcoholic beverages at bay while your tongue heals. Avoid Using All Types Of Makeup Products Or Any Harmful Chemicals Near The Place Of Your Healing Piercing. Not only does it provide the benefits of a natural saline solution, but it also has enzymes that home-made saline does not contain. Saline comes in varying pH levels and may be devoid of all essential trace elements crucial for healing piercings. Gather everything you need and make sure the casualty is comfortable and that you can easily access the area that needs to be treated. Take your time while you treat the person. Avoid over-cleaning. This can delay your healing and irritate your piercing. • Avoid undue trauma such as friction from clothing, excessive motion of the area, playing with the jewelry, and vigorous cleaning. These activities can cause the formation of unsightly and uncomfortable scar tissue, migration, prolonged healing, and other complications. The stovetop method is more sterile than the microwave method, because the water is boiled. For both these methods, however, bacteria can begin to grow after 24 hours. It’s fair to wonder why you should pay for wound cleaning when you can make your own saltwater at home. While making your own saltwater is less expensive, it is virtually the sole advantage. Should you decide you no longer want the piercing, simply remove the jewelry (or have a professional piercer remove it) and continue cleaning the piercing until the hole closes. In most cases only a small mark will remain. Because saline solution is a simple mixture of salt and water, it’s easy to believe that you can mix it yourself. However, this is inadvisable for a few reasons, and in fact, the Association of Professional Piercers now advises against it.
