Description

With the cosmolite Samsonite have changed the weight and the design a bit to make it stand out even more. Mixmesh cases are not as frequently found as the other hard suitcases from Samsonite. These have textured shells which immediately stand out from all the regular cases at an airport carousel. You can see my detailed review here. It is a very modern-looking case that will certainly stand out from most of those tired and worn-looking softcases you see on the luggage carousel. They have gone for a bit of a shell look, with lines flowing up vertically from the bottom and curving outwards. There are some manufacturers who offer guarantees that include damage caused by airlines, for example Briggs & Riley and certain products by Victorinox.

The list below covers the main lines from Samsonite which you can buy cheaper than the brand-new options. For more on each of these (and the other suitcase lines in each main category, read on. Keep in mind that you can get up to six different sizes from hand luggage to XL for each type. Table: Best Cheap Samsonite Cases As far as weight goes, all of them are super-lightweight but the Cosmolite range has about a 10% weight reduction compared to the Firelite series. So, it’s also important that they are smooth, quiet, and spin with ease. Samsonite has you covered there too Other Features To NoteYou get plenty of colour options. They range from the standard dark shades to stunning combinations like Petrol Blue and Sand. While you don't get the same capacity as a 2-wheel suitcase, 4-wheel cases are increasingly popular. In their early days they were more famous for the robust wooden trunks, that watchers of the "Antique Roadshow," may be more familiar with. However it wasn't until 1974 that they produced their first suitcase on wheels.

These are hugely popular cases and come in the usual sizes with added expandable options. All have the jutting spinner wheels, and sit proudly, displaying their classic panelled good looks. In 2003 they developed the first Samsonite softside spinner with 4 wheels which offered more stability and mobility, allowing travellers to either tow or roll their suitcase. When you compare a S’Cure DLX with the original, it is easy to see they are from the same family of designs. The inside of these cases is different to the other lightweight ‘Curv’ options. You get a double panel zip compartment, plus a mesh cover for the main compartment. The material has a brushed metal kind of look with a little reflective shine to add to the glamor of the case. The other cases are laptop rollers which double up as hand luggage. These ‘Lite Biz’ cases look stunning, those are not the cheapest, though do have that wow-factor. There are two retracting handles (top and side) as well as the usual telescopic handle we all know and love.
