It’s important to note that the NV602UK does not have powered Lift-Away (Shark’s feature names can sometimes be confusing!) Powered Lift-Away models can drive motorised tools that are attached to the wand when in Lift-Away mode, but this isn’t possible with the NV602UK. Manoeuvrability and Ease of Use
Not everyone wants a bulky upright vacuum cleaner. That’s why we also specialise in cordless, lightweight models from Bosch. These models come with a rechargeable lithium battery so they can be used without being plugged in – so there’s no more getting tangled up in trailing cables. The Lift-Away design makes it much more convenient to clean stairs compared with regular upright vacuums. You don’t need to worry about balancing the floorhead on narrow steps, or pulling the extendable hose up the entire staircase. A downside is that the Shark NV602UK only has an eight-metre power cord. This isn’t tiny and is adequate for most situations, but is shorter than we would like and may feel restrictive in large houses. For comparison, the Dyson Ball Animal 2 has a 10.8-metre cable, while the Vax Air Stretch Max Pet has a massive 13-metre cord. Flexology means your vacuum can be pivoted under furniture using an elbow hinge at the centre of the tube. The Shark IZ201UK Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is one of the best vacuum cleaners for pet hairon the market. It has a 0.7 litre dustbin which, while not the largest, is adequate for cleaning most homes without the need to empty mid-way. We also enjoy how lightweight it is, at just over 4 kg. The Shark Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Upright Vacuum Cleaner with PowerFins, Powered Lift-Away & TruePet has absolutely everything you need (as you might've guessed from the name) to stay on top of the busiest of homes, in a cordless model. Next, I moved to the harder carpet tile edge test, with the Shark NZ850UKT charged with removing all flour right up to the skirting board. This it did easily, and I didn’t have to reach for the crevice tool to finish off the job. Note: Shark sells several additional accessories for the NV602UK. It’s not the best carpet vacuum we’ve reviewed though. For example, we think the more expensive Shark vacuums do a better job at removing dust that’s caught deep in carpet fibres. Still, it’s a solid performer for the price.
