Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 28th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) As you can see from the specs, the E10 sports a fairly standard frequency range, but with a little more action in the lows and highs. The relatively high impedance (for an earphone, at least) could benefit from some amplification, but still seems to cope with low-power devices like phones and computers. Sound pressure level is a pretty common 100 decibels, and you’d be hard-pressed to not find adequate volume in most listening situations. Low End These versatile earphones offers full management of telephone conversations with the integrated microphone and 3-button button smart remote. The supplied VoIP adaptor transforms the E10C into a multimedia computer headset. The E10BT are just the sort of earphones I’d expect from SoundMagic. They’re quirky – but, ultimately, they’re the perfect buy for ordinary folk who are wanting a pair of wireless earphones. This isn’t only because they’re relatively affordable. We’ll start from the beginning. The SoundMagic E10S have a metal shell whose slightly higher-end style is hidden behind a bold, vibrant design.

Despite the low price tag, the Soundmagic E10 comes with some solid accessories. Besides the earphones, the box also holds a carrying pouch and seven pairs of eartips. The tips come in a few different sizes, giving a total of 10 pairs in all. That might just be the most I’ve seen in 10 years of reviewing headphones. The SoundMagic E10C include a remote of the type that we hope to see on all earphones before too long: a full three-button setup that doesn’t penalise Android handset owners. SoundMAGIC's engineers have tuned the drivers of the E10C to deliver a heavy bottom end. Delivering deep rolling bass balanced with superb musical detail, the E10C creates an exciting and fun listening experience.Ergonomically designed sound tubes sit perfectly in the ear canal and stay in the ear comfortably without falling out.

The SoundMagic E10S use single dynamic drivers, and opt for a fairly populist sound signature. They have a slightly expanded/enlarged bass response that’s on the wrong side of balanced. They also have a significant impact on sound quality. Using the normal silicone tips we found that due to the uneven seal in each ear we got variable sound quality, resulting in a lopsided sound – different tones were stronger in one ear than the other. We didn’t seem to be able to rectify this no matter how much we adjusted the fit. However, with the foam tips we got a much more consistent seal and more balanced sound. Treble: I am listening to it again as I write this. It started out very bright, almost an irritable brightness to be very honest but after a few hours of burn in, that has been replaced by a very sweet treble. The cymbals, bells and chimes are so beautiful, it is to be heard to be believed. It is not sibilant anymore.

These earphones are one of the best available at the price if you like powerful and dominant bass. Fortunately, the rest of the sound doesn’t suffer too much as a result. As you might expect of an entry-level set, the E10S come with simple rubber tips, of three sizes. They’re a little cheap-feeling, but you can always snag yourself some Comply foam or higher-grade silicone tips online if you don’t get on with them. You also get a little pouch and a belt clip – we’d ask for nothing more at the price.

The one part to consider carefully is the battery box – and whether it will irritate. Unless you run topless, its just a case of clipping it to your shirt – but when you consider that a big part of the wireless craze is convenience, maybe it will prove a turn-off.

At under £50, the E11’s are among the best earphones money can buy; they’re considerably better than the popular E10’s, too

The brand has hit the market with affordable models including PL50, E50, and not to mention the extremely popular E10. The SoundMAGIC E11C sent in for an evaluation is the successor to the E10c with the same affordable price tag and a patented design. Key Differences Commendable sound quality make them a good choice even if your current phone has no problem with ‘normal’ earphones, too. Ergonomically designed sound tubes sit perfectly in the ear canal and stay in the ear comfortably without falling out. The in-ear design combined with the right eartips seals music in and leaves unwanted noise out.
