The book itself is somewhat didactic, drawing rather finessed distinctions between ‘spanking’ (which she advocates), ‘whipping’, ‘switching’ and ‘beating’ (all of which she does not). Getting Away with It: Shari is constantly in trouble, requiring regular trips to Mr Wallace, the school disciplinarian. It's even worse when she gets punished at home too, on top of an already sore bottom. She gets into further trouble by telling Mr Wallace she has been awarded three strokes of the cane - a lie, as she should be getting twelve. Unfortunately her crime is discovered, and she receives a terrible punishment from the Head, made worse by the application of a caustic cream to her seat. Teacher's Pet: Mr Berglund, the handsome biology teacher, shares a secret with some of his older female pupils. If they are late to class or miss homework, instead of being sent to the principal's office for a punishment which would go on their record, he undertakes to spank the girls privately. But he simply isn't prepared for the devious Kelly, who experiences every implement in his arsenal. It’s interesting to note that the mother in the photograph is following Reinhart’s advice to spank with the fingers held loose and apart. In my own spanking experiences (between consenting adults), I have found that this strategy both lessens the sting in the spanker’s own hand but increases the sting on the recipient’s bottom, as the impact of the hand is then closer to a whip than a paddle, say.

He now has the skills as well as the enthusiasm to administer punishment canings to thirteen girls, each one positioned over the vaulting horse to receive her well-deserved thrashing! When a distant dad and his rebellious teenage daughter are trapped at home by a pandemic, he has to learn how to discipline. Reinhart explains in an introductory note: “Investigation showed that owing to financial reverses the work never circulated beyond the author’s edition, less than one hundred copies. The picture here is a crop of the original image, the only one I have available. What is remarkable is that the furniture in use (which cannot be seen here) is so similar to that featured in the earlier illustration. It appears to be an adapted ‘telephone table’, with a pillow or cushion. The picture is presumably posed, as it all looks far to calm for mother to be actually administering a spanking at the time.The woman is sitting on what appears to be an L-shaped seat, with her little girl’s body mostly supported by her lap but her head down on a cushion at the bottom of the ‘L’. All this is set out in a note accompanying the illustration, which notes the following ‘important details’: The Secret to Success: Marcus is obsessed with Sophie, a beautiful blond from a wealthy family. But he's also curious how she can consistently get top grades when she's out driving her car and partying with friends. He follows her one day and what he sees through a basement window is a revelation. Sophie removes all her clothes and submits to a fierce caning. This is the price she pays for her excellent grades. But who is doing the caning...? One striking similarity, however, is the books’ advice on what both authors refer to as ‘the method’; in other words, the manner in which the spanking should be administered. The Substitute: Growing up in a Catholic orphanage meant that Marie was more than accustomed to corporal punishment. When she gets transferred to another facility she soon figures out a way to take other girls' canings for cash. Not a Rat: When Brenda refuses to tattle on her friends she is secured to a vaulting horse for sixteen strokes of the cane, delivered with considerable vigour by the ballet teacher, Madame Boulais.

Reformed: A nervous Stacy awaits her punishment with dread, knowing what to expect from the Headmaster's cruel cane. Her fear intensifies when she learns how many strokes she is to be awarded - three dozen. It is every bit as bad as she fears - yet she endures. Rules Are Rules: When tattletale prefect Rebecca's clothes and towel are removed whilst she's having a shower, she ends up walking naked down the corridor to see the Headmistress. Less than impressed, she gives Rebecca her first ever caning. Caned for the Incident: After Mia sneaks out of school without permission by breaking a window, and fails to return until the next day, she is sent to the Deputy Headmistress to be punished. When she agrees to be caned threefold for any other misdemeanours she has carried out but not admitted to, she ends up getting a lot more than she bargained for. Leather Pants: When Allison changes out of her uniform into her skin-tight leather pants before leaving school she is caught by one of the teachers and sent to the Principal's office for a caning, the first nine strokes are delivered across her pants but the remaining nine are on the bare. Slim Kim: When Kim is caught sneaking out of detention by the Headmaster, she is forced to accompany him to his office for a sound thrashing, an experience she finds, much to her surprise, to be intensely exciting...

Although these stories take place within a school-based setting they differ from the more realistic accounts typically found within the schoolgirl spanking fiction genre. They are, however, representative of Frank Martinet's distinctive approach to spanking fiction, and so tend to focus on the actual punishments rather than the details of school life in general. Get It out of the Way: The headmistress encourages Morgan, who is new to St. Eunice's, to volunteer for a practice caning so she'll know what it's like before getting the real thing. Wanting It: Breeanne had managed to attend Claremont Academy for three years without facing discipline, but when she pushes another girl into the trophy cabinet during an argument she finds herself due to be caned for the first time. The Deciding Factor: Emmeline, Nicole, Charisma and Denise are sent to the Headmistress for punishment. All are bewildered as to the nature of their crime, because in truth, they have done nothing wrong, yet the Head canes each and every one of them. Jasmine and Agatha are next and suffer a similar fate, but show they have potential to become a prefect. It seems the qualities a prefect must have are not academic prowess, popularity and good behaviour - merely the ability to take a thrashing in stoic silence! Saucy: Sentenced to six of the best, Meg has to call out the number of each stroke and then ask for another if she wants it to be counted.
