About this deal

Before a model is ever constructed, drivers and cabinets are theoretically designed by our acoustic engineers using sophisticated computer-aided design (CAD) processes . Then prototypes are carefully measured and optimized in an anechoic environment to achieve pitch-perfect frequency response. After the ideal theoretical frequency response is attained, exhaustive listening and measurement is done in listening rooms calibrated to closely resemble typical home-like room environments.

Acoustic Cabinet Design: The rigid and braced cabinet minimizes resonances and non-linearities for a clean and engaging output. Measurements that you are about to see were performed using the Klippel Near-field Scanner (NFS). This is a robotic measurement system that analyzes the speaker all around and is able (using advanced mathematics and dual scan) to subtract room reflections (so where I measure it doesn't matter). It also measures the speaker at close distance ("near-field") which sharply reduces the impact of room noise. Both of these factors enable testing in ordinary rooms yet results that can be more accurate than an anechoic chamber. In a nutshell, the measurements show the actual sound coming out of the speaker independent of the room. way crossover with premium-grade capacitors, air-core inductors and heavy-trace printed circuit boards Countless design innovations and world-class build materials result in reference sound quality and stunning dynamics normally reserved for the world’s most expensive speakers. All data collected using Klippel’s Near-Field Scanner. The Near-Field-Scanner 3D (NFS) offers a fully automated acoustic measurement of direct sound radiated from the source under test. The radiated sound is determined in any desired distance and angle in the 3D space outside the scanning surface. Directivity, sound power, SPL response and many more key figures are obtained for any kind of loudspeaker and audio system in near field applications (e.g. studio monitors, mobile devices) as well as far field applications (e.g. professional audio systems). Utilizing a minimum of measurement points, a comprehensive data set is generated containing the loudspeaker’s high resolution, free field sound radiation in the near and far field. For a detailed explanation of how the NFS works and the science behind it, please watch the below discussion with designer Christian Bellmann:

Driver Specs:

I used over 800 measurement point which was sufficient to compute the sound field of the speaker. Measurement axis is the tweeter center.

That means that the Wireless II has more earthshaking bass. What’s more, the Wireless II uses built-in digital signal processing to deliver a much more refined sound than the Meta. range is the range of input power in watts RMS that a loudspeaker is designed to handle. While using an amplifier within this range ensures the nominal performance , inputting a power that is higher than the max wattage can result in a damaged speaker. SVS begins the speaker design process with extensive computer modeling, which helps them zero in on the right driver, crossover, and cabinet characteristics. Then, like other world-class speaker companies, they test each design in an anechoic chamber, which eliminates the effects of room reflections, to ensure highly accurate measurements. Despite its higher price point, you can’t find any significant flaws with the KEF LS50 Meta. It’s easily one of the best bookshelf speakers that the company has produced in recent years. And if you’re forced to say something terrible about the Meta, you can say that the bass is not exactly floor-shaking. But it’s definitely a whole lot better than other speakers in its price range and size.A center channel speaker is often considered the most underrated speaker in a home theater surround sound system because it handles the majority of dialogue, vocals, music and sound that’s coming from right in front of you in a movie, but rarely does a home theater center speaker get the same love as tower or bookshelf speakers. Many speaker manufacturers compromise with a two-way design or thin center channel speaker with flimsy drivers as an afterthought, not SVS. The SVS Ultra Center channel speaker flexes serious sonic muscle and is optimized for horizontal placement and elevating the most challenging movie and music content to reference quality. Ultra Driver & Tweeter Design

Peak your sensory experience by introducing the SVS Ultra Bookshelf Speakers to your audio arsenal. These remarkably engineered speakers are designed to transform your home sound system into an immersive auditory panorama that competes with an upscale theatre's acoustic performance. Innovative Engineering for Unforgettable SoundThe cabinets you see on the SVS Ultra Bookshelf are designed for the best optimum sound. The chamfer, which acts as the front baffle, sports a design that delivers reduced edge diffraction for acoustic clarity and more accurate sound stage. There are very few speakers in our book that command respect even before you plug them in and hear them in action. The SVS Ultra Bookshelf is one of them. Meanwhile, the midrange drivers measure 6.5 inches (165 millimeters) and are made with a glass and fiber cone. These drivers are stiff and sensitive and have aluminum shorting rings that don’t allow for distortion. Does this product live up to the SVS reputation? How good is it, and how does it compare to the KEF LS50 Meta? SVS Drivers Amplify your auditory experience by integrating the SVS Ultra Bookshelf Speakers into your home audio system. With its combination of cutting-edge technology, detailed soundscape, and captivating aesthetics, these speakers offer an impactful performance that arrests your sonic senses.

Product highlights:

No expense was spared with the innovative SVS SoundMatch two-way crossover. The unique topology creates a broad, yet focused and precise soundstage, with accurate frequency response and imaging at all listening positions. The precise tuning of the SoundMatch Crossover also ensures balanced output from sparkling highs to the crystal clear and commanding midrange, down to visceral and authoritative bass. Performance Driven Cabinet Design and Geometry Both the Meta and Wireless II have the same Uni-Q driver array. However, the Wireless II delivers a broader frequency range of 40 hertz to 47 kilohertz than Meta’s 47 hertz to 45 kilohertz. SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers are bigger at 15 by 8.5 by 10.9 inches (381 by 216 by 277 millimeters), whereas KEF LS50, which measures 11.9 by 7.9 by 11 inches (302 by 200 by 280.5 millimeters). These dimensions mean that you can put the LS50 in more room configurations than the SVS Ultra. Hz is a different story. At 90 dB output, distortion was 0.11% with harmonics difficult to distinguish from the noise floor.
