It was a good idea to start with the modern side of the story – it can sometimes be a little difficult to get in to a new (or old) world with its unfamiliar names and customs. It’s been a while since I immersed myself in the distant past but by the time I was taken there in the first episode of Eadburh’s life, the momentum had built. Sometimes a split narrative can seem contrived but I liked the way it was done here, allowing a modern commentary on long-past events without anachronisms. And if there is a need for exposition, inserting a passage from a book being written by one of the characters is pretty neat; I found it more engaging than being told by the narrator. Dream Weaver" is a song by the American singer Gary Wright, released as the first single from his third studio album The Dream Weaver in December 1975.

Bea assists Simon in finding the source of mysterious sounds and cries that come from the garden of the cottage he is staying in, and the ghostly presence that is distracting him from his work researching the history of Offa's Dyke, little realising the effect it will have on everyone involved, including herself. Dangers lurk in the shadows that threaten to engulf them all. The period has evidently been well researched by the author and makes for mystical and extremely compulsive reading. A mesmerising tale of revenge and resentment. I was amazed at how seamless our creative process was together. When I shared my vision for each of the cards with Joel, he would bring these gorgeous and unique images to life that looked as though they had been pulled directly from the images I had seen on the cave walls in my dreams. Our process and our flow was pure magic. When the Grit Became a Pearl Essential meaning: reinvention, learning from past mistakes, surrendering to the lesson with grace, maturityIn ‘The Dream Weavers’ Erskine explores the Anglo-Saxon concept of the Web of Wyrd, representing the interconnectedness of past, present and future. So the past and present are linked through place and artefacts such as a rare illuminated manuscript and a stone used for scrying and psychometry. The book is definitely among my favorites of Barbara Erskine. I love the historical aspect (as an American I had never heard of King Offa) and I love a supernatural twist with my historical books. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested on Saxon history or who loves a good supernatural time-slip. Her earlier books seemed so much more detailed, enthralling and perhaps believable. This book tested my limit of credulity somewhat with a modern character not ‘seeing’ a Celtic woman’s life through mediumship but seeing her dreams and that’s where it lost me to be honest. I totally envelop the mediumship, ghosts, communication via the the characters dreams (i.e. the ghost affecting the dreams of a present day character), reincarnation and possessions in previous books, but the link of a present day character to the dreams of a ghost seemed a little bit too fanciful for me…and I believe in spirits, an afterlife and reincarnation! Your experience of life now requires you to be adaptable to conditions and flexible as to how you respond to them. In this way you build up a resilience to meet life on life’s terms while simultaneously continuing to pay attention to your dreams and desires for your most meaningful life. Seen this way, all of life is an experience. You are a story that is always in motion, changing, dancing with the Dream Weavers, surrendering your desires, allowing curiosity to lead you in the dark and uncharted territories ahead of you. Through my meditations and dreams, I had the honor of meeting these fun beings, and I knew I was supposed to help them bring their messages to us here on earth. They are coming to us with so much love & compassion.

Could you be comparing yourself to others and feeling resentful? Sometimes that relentless ambition that drives you forward also keeps you overly focused on what you don’t have and what isn’t here yet, so you feel dissatisfied with what is. This energy manifests inside you and will show up in the outer world as evidence. Give no energy to negativity; it is not your friend! Sometimes I read a book that stays with me for a long time. I was recently gifted a copy of The Dream Weavers by Barbara Erskine to read. I love historical novels and this was a great story, set in Anglo Saxon Mercia and the modern day. The Dream Weavers by Barbara Erskine You might even be at a time in your life when you’re working so hard to achieve your goals, you think you’re not allowed to take a break. What if you missed something or let go of a responsibility? What would happen if you said no to something or someone? The group had one subsequent minor hit in America. "A Little Love Can Go A Long Way", taken from the TV play "Joey", made the Billboard 100 at #33 for just one week on May 19, 1956.It's Almost Tomorrow" is a 1955 popular song with music by Gene Adkinson and lyrics by Wade Buff. [1] The song was actually written in 1953, when Adkinson and Buff were in high school. Hit versions were released in 1955 by The Dream Weavers, Jo Stafford, David Carroll, and Snooky Lanson. Do you worry about the consequences? What if you won’t fit in? These are times when a new world is being birthed. Your truest note in the symphony of life can only be played by you. This is how you serve the whole world, in harmony with others to create the sweetest music. This is a time for you to ask yourself what is truly authentic to you, what is in or out of alignment with your values. A truly compelling and engaging storyline that crosses genres to include historical fiction, a love story set In Ancient Mercia 775 AD, mysticism and timeslip. Yet another must read from accomplished author Barbara Erskine. All the charactersare well developedandI connected with Bea, a modern ghost hunter, for her beliefs and desire to make things better for the ghosts. Eadburh is a complex character and one I wanted to hate but struggled to the more I discovered her story. This novel made mequestionalong with characters, how the traumas people experienced in the past affected their reactions and future events and what would they be like if they had access to the support we have today. There are times in life where you wonder if this is too good to be true, if the beauty you see is real, if the love you feel and the forgiveness you offer is as life-changing as it seems. Now is the time to release all your doubts and revel in the bountiful blessings being bestowed upon you. Do not allow any thought of unworthiness to taint this moment or allow any indulgence in the rash act to keep moving forward to distract you from receiving and taking this all in.

All the Threads of Fate Must Bend Essential meaning: being flexible, cultivating resilience and adaptability The ghostly voice is that of Eadburh, King Offa’s youngest daughter, calling out to her Welsh lover Elisedd.Jimmy Velvet released a version in 1965, which reached No. 93 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart [27] and No. 29 on Billboard 's Easy Listening chart. [28] [29] See also [ edit ] I’ve been a huge Barbara Erskine fan since I read Lady of Hay in the 1980s and when I saw that her latest book, The Dream Weavers, would be available via the Pigeonhole app, I was thrilled to bits. This is a wonderful dual timeframe story. As the title suggests, it beautifully weaves the two timelines together in a dreamlike style. I love the combination of historical fiction and fact with a little bit of fantasy and paranormal. It’s such a gripping tale and I was totally immersed in the lives of the characters, both modern and distant past. I particularly enjoyed following Elisedd and Eadburh’s journeys. I found myself completely transported to the time and place and was eager to find out what happened to them. Adult Contemporary - Jimmy Velvet It's Almost Tomorrow Chart History, Billboard.com.
