In some ways the character Eragon and I grew together, facing the greater world as public figures. But overall, we diverged. Eragon is now his own person, similar to me in some respects, but possessing a unique history, likes, dislikes, friends, and family. I find it interesting to delve inside his mind, but his mind is no longer my own.
