About this deal

Well then, on to the first half of the movie. Although maybe a nice artistic touch, the very first scene gives away a part of the plot. We see a big clipboard full with articles and pictures of one Det. Connors, trialled and suspended after a fatal accident on a bridge. First clue: Someone is after Connor. An article by Times Higher Education reported that Manchester University Press commissioned an academic study analysing the impact Statham has had on the British and American film industries from his debut in 1998 to 2018. According to the article, professors Steven Gerrard and Robert Shail are looking to show "the changing face of British cinematic masculinity" into "one that embraces cinema across a wide range of projects, but one that also uses cross-textual media in his output". It's a film that deserves at best to be an itv feature, not a movie, in fact if they had made it that way it could have worked better.LakeshoreEnt (26 July 2006), Jason Statham and Efren Ramirez at Comic-Con for CRANK, archived from the original on 22 December 2021 , retrieved 15 January 2018 I really like Statham in the roles he plays as a bad guy, crank and transporter are great film series that have given him some real credance. a b "Jason Statham on Furious 7 and the Real Reason He's Not in the New Transporter Movie". Vulture. 2 April 2015 . Retrieved 15 January 2018. That was street theater," Statham said in a 2007 interview with the Chicago Tribune. "You work with a team — some people in the crowd, some guys who stand lookout for the police." It not a Hollywood movie, but as a French action thriller is much better than Earth and Blood, and as I mentioned before, at least this movie has a story and is not just stupid action just because...

Don't get me wrong though I enjoyed the film. Aiden Gillen is a brilliant bad guy, giving his character a Johnny Rotten swagger. I felt myself enjoying hating the Blitz and couldn't wait to see him get his just deserts but we could have done with getting a little more insight into his behaviour. Statham does a good job showing a little weakness now and then in his usually gruff demeanour. As I have already said Paddy Considine is great but not in it enough for my liking. London looks great and there is an exciting chase through the streets which is one of the high points of the movie. With this in mind, it still admirably manages to come off as an above average one, consistently entertaining enough till the end, even as it just goes through the motions to the inevitable outcome, Statham in the lead doing his usual grumbling, hard bitten tough guy act and even a surprisingly lively supporting cast, including Aidan Gillen, Paddy Considine and David Morrisey not really raising the performance bar in any great way. The film could have given the impression that it's all about car chases, but fortunately it's not. The film is richer than average, thanks to its script and characters. Even though it's schematic at times, it's hard to put down, and we want to know how Alban Lenoir is going to get out of this one. After all, he finds himself pursued by the police, and has to fend for himself to prove his innocence. a b Mendelson, Scott. In mathematics, chaos theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems – that is, systems whose state evolves with time – that may exhibit dynamics that are highly sensitive to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect). As a result of this sensitivity, which manifests itself as an exponential growth of perturbations in the initial conditions, the behavior of chaotic systems appears to be random. This happens even though these systems are deterministic, meaning that their future dynamics are fully defined by their initial conditions, with no random elements involved. This behavior is known as deterministic chaos, or simply chaos. Westbrook, Caroline (16 April 2015). "This clip of Jason Statham dancing in his pants in a Shamen video may cause your jaw to drop". Metro. But the car chases are the big draw here and while it's disappointing that the actual car time is so sparse, the finale makes up for it. The last twenty minutes of the movie is bonnet-smashing, tyre squealing carnage and best of all, there's no CGI in sight. It's all done with practical effects, those are real cars being thrown into the air and driven into garages while on fire. Franich, Darren (25 May 2013). " 'Fast & Furious 6' spoilers ending". Entertainment Weekly . Retrieved 21 June 2015.

Following an incident where a hostage is accidentally killed by the police in Seattle detective Quentin Conners is suspended from duty and his partner leaves the police. Sometime later a group of armed men take control of a bank; when the alarm is triggered the building is surrounded by the police. The gang's leader, who calls himself 'Lorenz' says he will only deal with Conners. Fearing Lorenz will kill the hostages it is decided to storm the building. Things don't go to plan and in the confusion crooks escape. Strangely there doesn't appear to be any money missing. Conners is to lead the search for the crooks, he is partnered with younger officer, Shane Dekker. As the investigation proceeds various theories as to what the thieves actually stole emerge before the true scale of the crime emerges. An article by Adam Gabbatt in The Guardian noted that Statham's character contributions to his industry and film niche are "tough [and] uncompromising". [76] [77] Some critics note his presence as a "defining feature" that signals to movie-goers the content of a film. [78] The same exposé commented, "You know what you're getting with a Jason Statham film. He will beat people up. He will crash cars. He will do an unconvincing American accent." Blitz is a 2011 British action thriller film directed by Elliott Lester and starring Jason Statham, Paddy Considine, Aidan Gillen and David Morrissey. [2] The film is based on the novel of the same name by Ken Bruen, which features his recurring characters Detective Sergeant Tom Brant and Chief Inspector James Roberts. [3] The narrative follows a violent police officer trying to catch a serial killer who has been murdering police officers in South East London.Jason Statham ( / ˈ s t eɪ θ əm/; born 26 July 1967) is an English actor. He is known for portraying characters in various action-thriller films who are typically tough, hardboiled, gritty, or violent. Stratham is normally good as the tough but silent hard nut with the self-deprecating humor, but here, the extra relationship lines are so laughably bad that even he looks uncomfortable saying some of the clichéd mush required. More silent seems best? Dekker and Conners learn more about each other at a local diner, slowly building a friendship, but Dekker disapproves of Conners' "cowboy cop" methods. Dekker explains that during negotiations, Lorenz was making many cryptic references to chaos theory. As they leave to examine new evidence, Conners puts a ten dollar bill on the table for his share of the bill. Dekker swaps the ten for a twenty of his own. A TV camera caught a shot of one of the criminals, who is arrested together with his girlfriend at her home, where banknotes are found with a scent used to mark evidence collected by the police. The banknote serial numbers did not come from that day's robbery, but had been placed in police storage and signed out two weeks earlier by Callo. He is found shot dead in his home, together with incriminating evidence linking him to the heist.
