About this deal
Collaborative Group on Hormonal Factors in Breast Cancer, epidemiological study in 30 countries, 2002. Reported in Lancet 360(9328):187-195. Sept 27: I'm done! Wow. Definitely more thorough than the seventh edition. Lots of great new stuff.
The Womanly Art of Breastfeedingdocuments the benefits of breastfeeding such as the antibodies in it to protect the baby from illness. Breastfed babies have a decreased likelihood for allergies and dental caries. They also benefit from appropriate jaw, teeth and speech development as well as overall facial development. This means that people who were artificially fed may experience more trips to doctors and dentists. 1 You should breastfeed on demand until the child self weans (hey, apes can breastfeed until their offspring are seven years old- what is your excuse?) Every year we produce an extensive Annual Report which describes our main activities, projects and achievements. We submit full accounts to Companies House and The Charity Commission. LLLI is happy to announce the brilliant writing team for the new edition: Jayne Joyce (UK), Bibiana Moreno-Carranza (Mexico), Teresa Pitman (Canada) and Anna Swisher (USA). The four writers are all LLL Leaders. Read their bios here. “A MEETING IN A BOOK”

La Leche League started out as a group that sought to support women who wanted to breastfeed, a progressive organization that wanted to give women choices. With the publication of this 7th Revised Edition of their handbook, however, it's become clear that they've turned into an organization intent on shaming mothers who don't breastfeed instead.
