Tom Fletcher said, “ I’m so excited to see ‘There’s a Monster In Your Book,’ come to life on stage! The whole journey is incredibly exciting and I can’t wait to get to rehearsals to meet the puppets. Theatre is such an important way to introduce children to the arts and ‘There’s a Monster In Your Show’ is the perfect first theatre trip for pre-schoolers and their families. I’m so looking forward to seeing their reactions first-hand.” Theatre Credits include: The Wolves in The Walls (The little Angel Theatre) The Storm Whale (The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury) The Very Hungry Caterpillar (The Ambassadors, West End) Pygmalion (No 1 UK Tour) Ariodante (Palau De Les Arts) Swiss Family Robinson ( The Core at Corby Cube) Snow White (Courtyard Theatre, Hereford) Dear Father Christmas (The Oxford Playhouse) In The Night Garden Live (The O2 & UK Tour) In 1980 Roman was invited to join Polka Theatre in Wimbledon as an actor and in ’81 as the associate director and has proudly been involved with the theatre for over 42 years helping to direct/produce more than 90 plays at Polka aimed for our younger audiences - both for the Main Stage and the Adventure Theatre. Over the years, Roman has worked with many leading writers: Bryony Lavery, Mike Kenny, Brendan Murray, Lynne Read Banks, Charles Way, Phillip Pullman to name a few. The style of work has varied from directing straight forward drama plays through to musicals via pure puppet shows. His productions have taken him around the world with performances in Australia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey and USA as well as the UK

In his freelance capacity Roman also coaches, teaches and directs at many drama colleges, which includes ALRA, E15 and Drama Studio London, RCSSD, and is an experienced mask and puppetry director/consultant for various theatre companies. Now, with Little Guy, it's important that any 'monsters' have 'nice' faces and be 'not scary'. Greg Abbot's illustration of Tom's monster was approved by Little Guy, so Gramma started to read....
