As we said in the intro, this is a fairly compact dash cam, at least by Thinkware’s standards. It takes up more windscreen real estate than any member of the Garmin Dash Cam range, but we think it’s still satisfyingly compact. MicroSD cards up to 128GB are supported for recording video, although you probably won’t need one this large since recording loops to replace the oldest files once storage is full. A 16GB card would be enough for nearly 200 minutes of footage anyway, and this is what’s included in the box. Thinkware F200 – Mounting options The standard Rear Camera is easily installed onto the inside of the rear window and records any events which occur behind the vehicle. The External Rear View Camera is suitable for vehicles which don’t allow for an internal rear camera and also records footage of any incidents from the rear-view of the vehicle.

The size and shape of the F200 Pro mean it should fit neatly ahead of most central rear-view mirrors. There’s no monitor for adjusting settings or viewing video, but we prefer this approach as it makes for a more compact and less distracting product. Instead, the rear only has buttons for Wi-Fi and manual recording. Housed in a sleek modern design, the THINKWARE F200 PRO captures 1080P Full HD resolution front and rear, producing clear footage to capture undeniable evidence! Supplied as a kit, the F200PD32 includes the front dash cam, rear cam, hard wire kit and 32GB Micro SD card. Flexibility is a key feature here, as the F200 Pro can be bought on its own as a single, front-facing camera. Or, you can buy it with a rear-facing camera too (which is the kit we’re reviewing here), and there’s also the option to add a GPS antenna to the bundle. While the easy install is suitable for most, the professional fitting connects the F200 Pro directly to your car battery. This enables the camera to operate in parking mode when the engine is turned off. If the g-sensor is triggered, then 10 seconds before and after the impact are recorded. You can alter the sensitivity for the G sensor’s incident capturing, and enable a parking mode so the cameras will record if they detect motion when your vehicle is stationary. You can set some voltage limits for this, so the F200 doesn’t drain your battery below a certain level. It’s also possible to enable or disable safety camera warnings (which require the optional GPS, of which more in the next section).
