Also, the actor playing Tink could dial it down a notch or twelve. His cutesy comments and delivery gets old. Yes, I know someone must have listened to the audiobook when studying how to play him...but what translates decently in written word, doesn't translate well into a real life character. He's just "Ivy Divy" irritating. A film had been rumoured to be in development ever since 2004, with everyone from Lady Gaga and Idina Menzel – who starred in the original production - rumoured to be cast.

No quiero hacer esta reseña mas larga, especialmente porque temo soltar algun spoiler, solo decir que recomiendo mucho esta novela ( y la trilogia al completo ), les aseguro que no se arrepentiran, es un mundo muy interesante y original el que crea Jennifer L. Armentrout. En esta segunda entrega, Ivy ya sabe que ella es la mestiza (una hija de los fae con una humana) y que, literalmente, puede ser la clave para el apocalipsis. La leyenda cuenta que si uno de los príncipes fae concibe un bebé con la mestiza, todas las puertas de los otros mundos se abrirán y los fae podrán dominarlo todo. Evidentemente, Ivy está en crisis, no solamente porque uno de esos creepy fae quiere tener sexy times con ella y crear un bebé del apocalipsis, sino porque está aceptando esta nueva identidad y lo que implica para ella siendo un miembro de la Orden. Porque, claro, si la Orden (o incluso Ren) se entera de lo realmente es, la matarían sin hacer preguntas. Ivy was so annoying and immature and, for the love of me, so your typical badass wannabe. I liked her in the first book –or at least I think I liked her but this was just ridiculous. I get it, girl, you’re the halfing and you’re everything you’ve been fighting against to your whole life and the guy you love was sent to hunt you and put you down but would it kill you to be a bit smarter about it?

Por otra parte, Ren. Quien de a poco se va dando cuenta que sus sentimientos hacia Ivy van mucho más allá de la simple atracción o deseo. Sigue siendo el mismo chico que ya vimos en Cazadora de hadas; luchador, carismático, atrevido (porque, vamos, el chico dice cada cosa sin ningún tipo de anestesia. Ojo, no me estoy quejando). Pero en definitiva, Ren me sigue fascinando como al principio de la historia. Ren has eyes that are the same color green as the forest. His smile is so easy going and charming that it definitely left women in his wake devastated when their relationships fell apart. It appears to her that he has the ability to make a girl like her wake up to the fact that she desires what he has going on. Offering to let him into her life might be a risk that is too great to take.Antes de seguir, mención mega especial a Tink. Es de los mejores personajes de la trilogía. Amo su descaro, su desfachatez y que sea tan… él. ¡Y hola a su dalliance con cierto personaje que no menciono porque spoiler! Tink, pillín, jajaja. En fin.

I don’t know if this is me realizing how similar all her books are and how unable I was to set apart her narratives. Like, Ivy’s voice is so similar to Kat’s from her Lux series and to Alex’s from her Covenant series; and that’s a problem –I don’t know if it’s because that’s the way she writes her paranormal/fantasy stuff but it bothered me this time. The Icy coldness of the fae is spreading, merging and afflicting the mortal realm, and the fae are ready, and have been preparing for longer than the humans know. With a frenetic secret eating away at Ivy’s discipline and duty she realises that fantasy was always just a palliative consolation to soothe and curtain the irreversible when reality was always there and fractures the façade of her wishes. And reality is here, forcing Ivy to bear its unfair strikes, and brave though she is… she is Torn. Fighting against her healthier - or not so healthier - judgment, Ivy can’t bring herself to solicit the wisest course of action, not when she doesn’t want to run anymore, and how can she walk away from the man who taught her to walk onward again? Me habría gustado un epílogo, de dos años o así después del final. De nuevo, me habría gustado un final más cerrado.He revealed this was to allow them to tell the full story without having to leave some characters on the cutting room floor. Ivy and Ren... *sigh*. Hashtag couple goals! Ren is amazing and the way he loves Ivy is even better. I didn't want this book to ever end. I will be holding out for any and all spin offs that come from this series! And if you haven't started this series yet because you were waiting for it to be done......... well it's done so you have no excuse and should be reading book 1 right now instead of my review! I mean it!

Leider muss ich sagen, dass der letzte Teil der Trilogie mich ein bisschen enttäuscht hat. Es geht am Anfang wieder sehr rasant los und man ist sofort wieder im Geschehen drin, weil es direkt ans Ende des ersten Bandes anschließt. Doch in der Mitte des Buches wird die ganze Handlung etwas zäher und langatmiger. In diesem Teil hat mir doch sehr die Tiefe der Charaktere gefehlt, was ich sehr schade finde. Bis auf Tink – den ich immer noch einen der witzigsten Charaktere überhaupt finde – haben mich alle anderen Charaktere sehr kalt gelassen und es fiel mir schwer mit ihnen mitzufühlen. Siento que adoro los libros en los que las protagonistas tienen que encontrarse a sí mismas de nuevo después de algún evento traumático. Me gusta porque, eventualmente, siempre salen más fuertes, más decididas y con más ganas de cortarles las bolas a quienes les hicieron daño. Y eso es exactamente lo que pasa con Ivy. Quizá lo mejor de este tipo de arcos es que las protagonistas empiezan a entender que no tienen por qué poder con todo solas, no tienen que salvar el universo sin ayuda, sino que tienen siempre a un montón de personas a su alrededor que están dispuestas a luchar codo a codo con ellas. Y eso es lo que Ivy tiene con Ren, por supuesto, pero también con Tink. Son sus amigos, su familia. Ivy wants to fall in love, but doubts that her duties will let her. Will the past influence her present? With secrets between Ren and Ivy, she worries as they grow closer that she may have more to suspect about him than she thinks. Now her heart is starting to become more than just her own.

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars. Esta segunda parte, comienza en el mismo lugar que terminó Cazadora de hadas. Nada de días, semanas o meses después, arranca en el mismo momento que acabó la primera parte. Con esa gran verdad que nos tenía intrigados en el transcurso de ese libro, pone a nuestra protagonista; Ivy, en una situación muy complicada y tensa porque nadie, ni siquiera Ren, puede enterarse de esa revelación. Brave empieza a tropiezos, tiene un desarrollo espectacular y un final un tanto abrupto y que te deja con una sensación de incertidumbre (en otras palabras: el final es bastante abierto). Elphaba meets Glinda the Good Witch at school and after initially clashing, the pair eventually bond. The self-absorbed Glinda gives Elphaba a makeover to make her more popular among students. The story is tight, the sex scenes are well handled and sexy, and the introduction of several new characters is well handled...Breena and Faye in particular. The one and only character that I had issue with was the Fae Prince. I don't know if it was due to editing or acting, but at times his delivery was choppy and less than natural...even for a domineering jerk who has no humanity.
