About this deal

I just opened the switch config and under Port Management selected that port and changed Link Speed from Auto-Negotiation to 1gbps FDX. That causes the UAP to not provide internet to wireless devices and only the 1 amber light on the switch port is on to signify POE, but the link light is off. The UAP itself is on and solid blue as it should be, my devices do find the SSID broadcasting but cannot establish connection to it (most likely because it's not getting dhcp through the AP). If you need to cover a large area with a lot of people, like a venue or stadium, then the Wireless BaseStation is the access point that your need. It has an amazing throughput of 5 Gbps and can support up to 1500 concurrent clients.

There are some models, like the UniFi 6 Long Range, that are semi-outdoor rated (IP54). They can be placed under an eave or porch for example, but they are not true outdoor access points. (You can expose them to rain) We have, for example, the UniFi NanoHD, Lite, Long Range, Flex HD, and now even Wifi 6 devices. All great products, but which one do you need for your home or office network?Regional regulations must be observed when deploying radio equipment. More info Power Input Power Consumption

Powerful Hardware- Features the latest in WiFi 802.11AC MIMO technology with WiFi speeds up to 1750Mbps (450Mbps + 1300Mbps) The antenna design of the HD is different compared to the other UniFi access points. It’s designed to cover a lot of clients in a small area. So the wireless network won’t spread as far as the other access points. Keep that in mind when you are placing the UniFi HD. Not everybody can mount their access points to the ceiling or wall. That is where the Unifi FlexHD comes in. This small and sleek design allows you to place insight, on a cabinet for example. It’s also possible to buy a ceiling or wall mount for the Flex HD.I was running a Netgear wireless router with 1gb spectrum copper service. From that "old router" on ethernet get 900-930mb/s consistently, while on wifi get 800-930mb/s consistently. Well crap...sometimes we miss the things in our faces. 1) the light where the AP is connected to indicates the link speed - it is double amber (POE & 100mbps). 2) in the unifi controller under the AP is the Uplink Wired section, which confirms the negotiated speed is FE (100mbps).
