About this deal

It can be caused by a condition that affects your brain, such as a brain abscess, brain tumour, meningitis or encephalitis. We all know that healthy minds are really important but how do we make sure we look after our mental health from a very young age? What's Going On Inside My Head? is a book for children that explores practical ways we can keep our minds in good shape as well as our bodies. Wow this is extremely interesting. I’ve recently been experimenting with myself on this exact topic. I want to find out which way of thinking leads me to the greatest success. I have recently started recovering from anorexia so as my life comes to a halt and I have lots of time on my hands, I’ve become very interested and aware of how I/other people think. Fear may be a one-off feeling when you are faced with something unfamiliar. But it can also be an everyday, long-lasting problem – even if you can’t put your finger on why. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and try to avoid eating too much sugar as resulting dips in your blood sugar can give you anxious feelings. Try to avoid drinking too much tea and coffee, as caffeine can also increase anxiety levels. Avoid alcohol, or drink in moderation

You should call an ambulance to go to the hospital immediately. There, doctors will examine you and may take images of your head (like a CT scan) to see if there's any bleeding. Adolescence has different phases, and your priorities and state of mind change throughout. This is partly explained by the fact that teen brain development doesn’t stop until around the age of 25. During high school, friends start to play a more important role in your life🤝. Tinnitus occurs when nerves within the ear are damaged by prolonged exposure to loud noise or to certain drugs. The disrupted activity in the nerves causes them to overreact and produce the sounds known as tinnitus. When nerves are damaged enough to cause tinnitus, there will also be some degree of hearing loss. Treatment for viral labyrinthitis includes rest, fluids, and over-the-counter pain relievers. Antibiotics will be prescribed for bacterial labyrinthitis. You should visit your primary care physician within the next 2 days to confirm a diagnosis and discuss treatment options for managing symptoms. Possible meniere's disease Drug treatments are used to provide short-term help, rather than looking at the root of the anxiety problems. Drugs may be most useful when they are combined with other treatments or support. Support groups Starting in late October 2015, the clip from the trailer gained notable popularity as a setup for jokes on YouTube and Vine. For example, on October 27th, 2015, YouTube [5] user Dyuba posted a Spider-Man Ass Slap meme that gained over 64,000 views in six years (shown below, left). On September 9th, 2016, content creator Dolan Dark uploaded [6] a meme that gained over 810,000 views in five years (shown below, center). On October 13th, 2018, YouTube [7] user Meme Republic posted a compilation of Vines that used the meme which received over 300,000 views in three years (shown below, right). Treatment involves use of a hearing aid, which can better conduct normal sounds across the damaged nerves of the ear; and treating any underlying conditions, such as high blood pressure. If you are experiencing symptoms like these, you should speak to a healthcare professional urgently to ensure there are no other underlying causes. What is a phobia?

It's a rare condition that mainly affects women in their 20s and 30s. It most often happens in women who have gained weight. The reason for this is unclear. Vygotsky thought that inner speech may help people to perform difficult tasks. Thinking a task through in words may make it easier to accomplish – there are definitely a lot of words going through my mind when I’m building Ikea furniture. Actually, a number of studies have found that people tend to perform worse on tasks which require planning (like playing chess) if their inner voice is suppressed while performing the task. I think I only think in words when I’m either a) questioning something (“why’s that there?”) or b) making a decision to do something (“cup of tea!”). I often say such things aloud too when I’m alone.” I have to actually boss my brain sometimes – tell myself that I am in control of what goes on inside my head. Pseudotumor cerebri, also called ' idiopathic intracranial hypertension' is a condition caused by pressure building inside the skull. The exact cause of this increase in pressure is often unknown. Symptoms include headaches, pain behind the eyes and changes in vision. As a neuroscientist, one aspect of brain-science that has always intrigued me is the idea that we may never know exactly how another person experiences the world and whether their experiences differ from our own. I know what the red ball (pictured right) looks like to me but how do I know that you’re seeing same thing? In fact, I’ve often wondered what it would be like to see the world through the eyes of someone whose perceptions differ from mine, for example someone with colour or face blindness. Being afraid of some things – like fires – can keep you safe. What you’re afraid of and how you act when you’re afraid of something can be different for every person. Knowing what makes you afraid and why can be the first step to overcoming anxiety. This condition is caused by a congenital malformation in the brain; pregnancy; use of oral contraceptives; meningitis; use of steroids; and trauma to the head. Sadly though, I’ve always ass umed that my own experiences are disappointingly mundane and ‘average’. That was until ‘life guru’ Karl Pilkington taught me otherwise… With my pastoral role in school, I know that this book will be useful with many children for a variety of reasons. It will take pride of place on the shelf in my office... and will be used frequently to help reassure children and also to help them understand what is happening in their brains. - K and O: Bonkers About Books
