About this deal

Use a weighing scale– I highly recommend using a weighing scale and measuring out your ingredients the metric way. It makes a huge difference to your baking and is the most accurate way to bake! I get a lot of questions in my recipes about substitutions, so I thought I would provide a little list of swap-outs that might be helpful. Of course there are a million other ways you can modify this dessert, too! Read my article Instant Clearjel: a Magical Little-Known Bakery Ingredient to see why I think this ingredient is worth having in your pantry. Instant Clearjel must always be whisked thoroughly with other dry ingredients before being added to wet ingredients to avoid clumping. If you need to substitute, please use white chocolate or vanilla instant pudding mix in the cake batter as described within the recipe. In a city like Las Vegas, it’s really challenging to narrow down the best in categories as broad as desserts. There are a handful of Las Vegas desserts that have caught our attention but might be a little too over the top, even for the most devoted dessert fan. NOTE – It is critical for the chocolate to remain melted until the top & bottom are snapped together… this allows each side to harden together and form the skull. A Moist, Rich Chocolate Cake The powdered sugar glaze gets into all of the intricate crevices of the mold (those teeth!), making the skulls have this eery old-and-dead feeling to them. We used to call it "Strawberries 'n' Cream cake" at my bakery. Roll each dough into a ropeabout 10 inches long. Twist the two doughs together and roll the twisted dough into one rope.
