About this deal

Boasting a consistently smooth white surface, melamine sheets are perfect to use as a furniture board. They are commonly used for workbenches, wipe boards, white melamine shelving, and cabinetry as they are easily customisable while featuring scratch resistance, and water resistance aiding the strength of the MDF core. As a result of this, our standard grade MDF is easy to fabricate, drill, or affix with screws, nails, or glues. Melamine-faced MDF provides a flat, clean, white outward face to allow for a professional finish. It can easily be used to replicate the look and feel of solid wood alternatives at a more affordable price. To screw into MDF you will require specific screws to prevent splitting. We recommend using screws that are purposely made for MDF as generic screws may damage the sheeting. Does MDF warp? Our melamine MDF takes well to most adhesives and paints, and when chosen with our 0.8mm and 2mm edge banding options, also allows the edges to be painted. Inexpensive

White melamine board 18mm is used for a number of purposes including making kitchen cabinet, shelving, cupboards, wall units, wardrobes and furniture and much more. Due to its smooth and stable surface this MDF is also used for decorative wood or laminate veneers. Kitchen countertops made using white laminates give a distinct appeal. Merino laminates offer outstanding moisture and heat resistance solutions without sacrificing aesthetics as they are specially created for damp applications. Made from standard-grade MDF and a thin melamine veneer, our melamine sheets are an inexpensive way of adding longevity to a desk through the sturdy MDF core. Customisable When choosing your melamine MDF sheet, we are able to add a 0.8 or 2mm paintable edge banding. This is a fantastic option for those intending to use it as desk material. If being used as a desk, we would recommend specifically using the 2mm option as it is a cleaner look and has an ergonomically rounded edge.Due to the small strands that construct the sheet, our melamine board is ideal for use in environments where efficiency in construction is necessary as it can easily be lifted and maneuvered. Malleable

Our melamine-faced MDF is easily machinable and can be equally installed without fuss, leaving projects with a smart and professional finish. Melamine MDF is most notably used in the construction of desks or furniture that would involve consistent use. The MDF veneer is waterproof and gives life to MDF sheets that would otherwise be damaged if a drink were spilt. With scratch resistance, our acrylic melamine veneer adds durability to our incredible MDF core allowing it to adapt to numerous circumstances. Lightweight Alternatively, we supply melamine cut to size, ensuring to give your board a smooth, chip-free finish. What does MDF stand for? HPL and Trespa® sheets are making a slow, but steady, advance on the interior design business. Many hygienic areas already have HPL walls and worktops, for example: laboratories, hospitals and institutional kitchens. Even in sanitary facilities, HPL sheets are the number one choice. Many public bathrooms, dressing rooms and swimming pools have HPL surfaces. It is safe to say that HPL / Trespa® is implemented in a diverse range of sectors and still it is possible to make each area look unique. The wide range of colours and designs leave room for personal taste and an original twist. HPL / Trespa® Production method

Melamine is waterproof, shatter and scratch-resistant, protecting any laminated MDF boards in the same way. Be careful however of the edges as those will not have any melamine protection. How do you clean melamine? Our melamine-faced MDF is easily machinable and can be installed without fuss, leaving projects with a smart and professional finish. Applications & Uses of White MDF Board High pressure laminate is a plastic that consist of pressurised wood fibre laminated with phenolic resin top layers. The wood fibres are pressed together under high temperature, that is how it got the name ‘high pressure’ laminate. HPL is a material that has been applied more and more in the construction industry over the last decade. And, at this point, it is inconceivable to imagine the interior and exterior construction sector without HPL material. One of the best-known manufacturers is Dutch company Trespa®.

A high pressure laminate which combines the warmth, depth and natural beauty of real wood veneer with the durability, ease of installation and low maintenance of a standard laminate, all FSC Certified. Laminate sheets are a versatile durable hygienic & hard-wearing decorative surface finish ideal for a multitude of applications from wall panelling & doors, to furniture and work surfaces; for the hospitality sector, shop fit outs, offices, and throughout the home. Laminate sheets are surprisingly easy to apply and fit, at TopClassCarpentry we have all the expertise, and technical advice you need, so if you're a trade professional, or fitting out your motorhome, boat, caravan, bathroom or kitchen we can advise you on the best techniques and adhesives to use. What Are HPL Laminate Sheets? MDF stands for medium-density fibreboard and is an engineered wood-based sheet made by bonding together wood fibres with a synthetic resin adhesive and pressure. How strong is melamine-faced MDF?HPL is a lot like hardwood when it comes to its workability. The sheets are easy to handle but only if you use the proper equipment and solid do-it-yourself machinery. It is important to keep in mind that HPL expands and shrinks slightly more than other plastic sheets. So, remember to leave a little room around the edges of the sheet, especially when placing the sheet outdoors. We recommend a 10-millimetre seam around all edges of the sheet. If you have any questions about this, our specialist customer service team will be happy to assist.
