Aly's incredible talent as a writer amazes me more and more with each new book but she has truly outdone herself this time around. This book is so powerful, it is written with incredible depth and raw emotion, Aly has so obviously put her heart and soul into this masterpiece. I am totally in awe of the way in which she was able to convey how Camden was still haunted by the pain and horror of his past but refrained from going into detail, leaving readers to draw their own conclusions. It’s not always the most wonderful relationship, but it’s mine and I wouldn’t give him up for the world.

Oh the side characters are just hilarious. I simply adore GRAMs and we are introduced to Andy. I feel like we will be seeing more of him in book 3. There were a few steamy scenes, but mostly I would say this was a Damon-finding-himself book. The last chapter kind of leads you into the next book and I just can’t wait for Accept Me They have endured some ugly pasts and it is my hope that they will have a beautiful future together. Aly Stiles’ storytelling has an uncanny ability to get right to my heart, a wide range of emotions. Like an explosion of colors, full of meaning when every color is closely associated with certain feelings and emotions. Well it resonated with me. So Damon survives his suicide attempt but in surviving he becomes a man of no emotions and has stopped talking to anyone. He has sunk into a deep dark hole. Josephine has not forgiven herself for not allowing Damon to explain what happened the night of the accident. If she had only let him explain, her old Damon would be here instead of Zombie Damon.

Let me first say that library scene 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵. There are plenty of other steamy scenes that will have you biting your lip and wishing you weren’t just reading it. At 85% ,I had to put the book down. I cannot tell you how much I resented that I had to stop reading so that I could sleep. All I wanted to do was know what was going happen next and how this story ended. I was not disappointed.Wade fights his attraction with all that he has. But when Lucas starts talking about going out on a first date with someone from college, the jealousy he feels eats him alive. He can’t let it happen. Lucas is his, and he’s ready to claim what belongs to him.

Familiar hopelessness swallows me up and I let it. F*** it. There's no running from this, so I might as well not fight it. It's better to embrace the hurt than to struggle against it. I know this better than anyone. It's like being swept out to sea and having to choose between battling in vain against the current or letting it take you under. I'll let it take me under, but I damn sure hope that I surface at some point with a breath of life still in me.Wow - this book was crafted to showcase so many emotions. I absolutely loved the feelings it invoked with a love story of two star-crossed lovers(in my opinion). Isla the beautiful rich girl who is struggling to get out of her fathers hold and Caleb the broken man whose been pushed down constantly most of his life, broken due to others choices. This was a great book told in dual first person POV and leaves you with a HEA. There are trigger warnings for those that have triggers. I do so love it when the author heaps the misery on the characters and, of course, us the readers. It makes the happy so much more enjoyable when it finally comes along. I am probably never happier than when my book characters are suffering and there seems to be no light at the end of tunnel. Call me an evil sadist if you will but I really love to ride all that angst with them and feel their pain – it makes the beautiful happy ending all the more sweet when it finally comes around.

Isla Donohue is the daughter of Andrew & Samantha Donohue. Her father runs a billion dollar tech company and he always wanted a son to take over his company when he would retire. Not your typical romance from Aly Stiles. There is a love story contained in this emotional novel but first and foremost there is story of finding the love and beauty in each of us through the eyes of another. A.R. Rose has done it again. Another amazing novel that stole my heart within the first few chapters.Thirdly, I absolutely loved Dave and Office Collier with how they took Caleb under their wing and helped him in his time of need. Also, Officer Collier may have made me spring some tears at the end. In Camden Walker: Apartment 8C Aly Stiles goes the extra emotional mile visiting places that many avoid or turn a blind eye too. Never discount the vision of this writer or the depth of her sensitivity. To find that one special person who sees beyond the outside facade that we all wear is special and Ms. Stiles shows that in this story as Olivia recognizes the beauty of Camden beyond the superficial. In turn Camden unleashed the beauty that Olivia kept hidden, protecting herself from the censure of the world she rigidly lived in. But watching both Isla and Caleb push each other to reach for their dreams made this book near perfect for me! Sometimes we only need one person to prove to us we are worthy and that what we want matters. He'd told me since the beginning I was his starlight-the one who helped guide him through his darkness-but I didn't think he realized just how much light he brought into my life. So much so, he had lit up my whole world." The heat and connection between Isla and Caleb was so powerful and intense, absolutely combustible and all-consuming. I loved Isla's fierce independent spirit as she tried to defy expectations. And my heart truly broke for Caleb. Could he rise above his circumstances or would he be caught in the destructive cycle of the Hart men? I loved how Caleb protected Isla and empowered her independence and how they found comfort and calmness in each other's arms. Yes, there were plenty of deliciously steamy sex scenes but the emotions behind everything went so much deeper than that.
