About this deal

The ultrawide camera on the Mi 11 has a magnification of 0.6x — common for Android phones but less extreme than the 0.5x camera on the iPhone 12 Pro, hence the different look of these two images of Archway. Either way, this round belongs to the iPhone thanks to its much richer colors. Nonetheless, the Mi 11's battery does a good job at keeping the phone powered up. After watching an hour of YouTube in full screen mode (the main battery-intensive activity I use my phones for), the Mi 11 lost 8% of its total charge. That equates to a full day of binge-watching the remakes of Hamilton songs in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which means the Mi 11 will probably handle a day of actual work capably without needing an emergency trip to a charging plug. So the Xiaomi Mi 11 is a great smartphone and one of the best Xiaomi phones, but it's certainly not a flawless phone. The only thing missing from a typical flagship camera set-up on the Mi 11 is a telephoto sensor, but these tend to appear on more expensive models of flagships, such as the expected Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro. What you get instead with the Mi 11 is a "telemacro" camera. A lot of cheaper Android phones include macro cameras, but the Mi 11's version offers variable magnification to better achieve good close-up shots.

So far this two-minute review has been largely positive, and paints the Xiaomi Mi 11 in a much more favorable light than Samsung’s latest flagship; but that’s not totally the case, as the phone has a few issues too. A wonderful range of cases and covers for Xiaomi Mi 11 from brands such as Ringke, Nillkin and more. Our aim is to provide a range of accessories offering different styles and colours. Among the available products you will find minimalist covers by ESR, modern cases by Ringke, elegant cases by Dux Ducis, or the most durable, armoured covers by UAG. You can also add tempered glass or protective film, which will complete the protection of your Xiaomi Mi 11. A properly fitted case provides a level of protection against scratches and damage and also gives your smartphone a unique look. All data comparison related to dimension are from Xiaomi Laboratory, which compared Mi 11 with Mi 10. Trying out Marvel Contest of Champions proved that these scores are reflected by real-world performance. Watching Spider-Man beat up rival superheroes looked great and displayed smoothly on the Xiaomi Mi 11. The Mi 11's 480Hz touch sampling rate allows the display to react faster to taps than the average phone's. The secondary camera is a 13MP f/2.4 ultra-wide snapper, which we’ve seen Xiaomi use in its smartphones since the dawn of time (well, early 2020). As before, it’s useful for taking in more of a subject, and we found it took a brighter picture too. Photos are lower-resolution though, and often don’t have the contrast of snaps from the main camera.

Xiaomi usually reserves telephoto, or zoom, cameras for its ‘Pro’ models, and that’s the case here, as there’s no lens for optical zoom. You can digitally zoom up to 30x, but the further you zoom the lower the quality of the image, and beyond 5x images are a little too grainy. While you can set the main camera to take 108MP photos via the Pro mode in the Mi 11’s camera app, the phone takes 27MP photos by default. The Mi 11 manages this by combining sensor data from four pixels into one virtual pixel, a process called pixel binning. This saves you space in your phone's storage, plus it's ideal for low-light shots, at least in theory. The Mi 11 features a 6.81-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. It’s the first time that Xiaomi device is featuring a Quad HD panel and a 120Hz refresh rate. To add a premium touch, Xiaomi used the Gorilla Glass Victus for the display. It has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, which is built on the 5nm process underneath the new flagship. With the chipset, Qualcomm has included the Adreno 660 GPU. The phone comes with memory options such as 8GB/12GB RAM and 128/256GB of new UFS 3.1 storage. It runs on the latest MIUI 12 out of the box with Android 11. Improved graphics rendering is also on the cards, with the embedded Adreno 660 GPU returning an average frame rate of 96fps in the GFXBench Manhattan 3 benchmark at native (WQHD+) resolution. In our Xiaomi Mi 10 review we complimented the “seriously good sound” of the speakers, and they’ve only got better in the Mi 11, with tuning from audio specialists Harman Kardon. If you’re used to phone speakers causing calls, movies or music to sound tinny, the Mi 11 speakers will be a treat, as the sound is bassier and can go louder without distorting, at least compared to your average smartphone. Xiaomi Mi 11 software

The Mi 11 is long and thin as phones go – it’s not quite a Sony Xperia phone in that regard, but it’s not a million miles off. As such, despite its size, it’s fairly comfortable to hold and use one-handed, though people with smaller digits may still find it a stretch to reach the upper part of the screen. The Mi 11 has a 6.81in edge-to-edge screen, with a native resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. It has the same 108MP main camera unit (Samsung’s Isocell HM3 sensor) as the pricier Galaxy S21 Ultra and it also has ultrawide and macro cameras. Lastly, it runs Android 11 from the get-go and comes with either 128GB or 256GB of storage as well as 8GB of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 11 review: Price and competition In second place, we have the hard armor case for the Xiaomi Mi 11. The case is made with armor aluminum metal bumper and soft rubber silicone which is lightweight but tough at the same time, giving it the perfect combo for a case. It provides full body protection with its hybrid alloy armor bumper and the raised lips protect the camera lens from scratches and scuffs. connectivity may vary based on region availability and local operator support. 5G SA connectivity enhancements may be added via OTA where applicable.

Xiaomi released the Mi 11 in January 2021 which offers a really big screen with an even greater camera at a really good price. The flagship phone is also one of the first Snapdragon 888 devices worldwide. Coming to the specs, the phone features a big 6.81-inches AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 8 and 12GB of RAM, a massive 4600mAh battery and powered by Snapdragon 888 5G octa-core processor. It has a triple rear camera set with 108MP wide, 13MP ultrawide and 5MP macro lens and a single 20MP front camera. The Mi 11 is a winner in terms of design, performance and price. Here are the 10 best cases for Xiaomi Mi 11 to keep that shiny phone safe and sound. 10. CoverON Clear Case for Xiaomi Mi 11 The main snapper is 108MP f/1.9 – this is the fifth Xiaomi phone to use such a high-res sensor, and they’ve all used this same Samsung one. That doesn’t mean photos look exactly the same as before though, as the results of our testing seemed slightly better, with improved contrast and an overall lighter tone. This is likely the result of improved AI optimization. There are a few faster charging standards out there, for example, the 65W one used by the OnePlus 8T. But filling your phone to 45% in 15 minutes, 80% in 30 and 100% in 48 minutes as you can with the Xiaomi Mi 11 is still respectably fast. It certainly beats the 25W charging offered by the Galaxy S21, which doesn't come with an included charger in the box. These are official cases from Xiaomi and are a bit on the expensive side. It is available in three different colours like Blue, Orange, and Yellow. As we mentioned in the heading, it is built using Silicone materials, and it looks fantastic. Another product from Muchi on AliExpress and is quite popular among the buyers. The same is available in five different color options. As we mentioned above, it covers the entire camera module; only camera sensors are visible.

records: Highest Visible Screen Resolution, Highest Absolute Color Accuracy, Highest Peak Display Brightness, Highest Contrast Ratio, Highest Native Color Gamut, Lowest Screen Reflectance, Highest Image Contrast Accuracy and Intensity Scale Accuracy, Contrast Rating in Ambient Light, Highest Full Screen Brightness for OLED Smartphones, Smallest Change in Peak Luminance with the Image Content Average Picture Level APL, Smallest Color Variation of White with Viewing Angle, Smallest Shift in Color Accuracy and Intensity Scale with the Image Content APL, Smallest Shift in Image Contrast and Intensity Scale with the Image Content APL The final camera is a 5MP f/2.4 ‘telemacro’ camera, and it’s certainly the star of the show. Macro lenses are used for close-up pictures of subjects, but that ‘tele-’ prefix denotes that the lens is designed for snapping far-off objects – put that together, and it’s a camera designed to take pictures of small objects from (relatively) far away - it’s activated when you turn on Super Macro mode. With a 6.81-inch display, the Xiaomi Mi 11 is the company’s biggest flagship in terms of screen size, and it also dwarfs almost all of its competitors. The screen is curved at its edges, though not dramatically so, and is broken up by a small ‘punch-hole’ cut-out for the selfie camera in the top-left corner. Third on our list is the dual layer case for the Xiaomi Mi 11. Constructed from high-grade TPU and hard PC material, it provides maximum protection to your phone in case of impacts and scratches. It features a metal patch that can easily be attached to a magnetic holder in a car for easy GPS navigation or hands-free watching. The reinforced edge cushioning and raised edges provides full protection of the four corners from drops and sudden jerks.Mainstream video platforms refer to: Mi Video global edition, iQIYI global edition, Youtube, Netflix, Prime video, Hotstar, Vic, Google photos The display has a 120Hz refresh rate, which many flagships now use, though Xiaomi does have a 144Hz phone on the market too. This means the image updates 120 times per second, double the ‘standard’ of 60Hz, and in effect this makes moving images appear smoother. Not everyone cares for the feature though, and you can turn the refresh rate down to 60Hz if you prefer, and this saves battery life. In terms of resolution, the Mi 11 screen is 1440 x 3200, which is sharper than those on most flagships of a similar price (including the Mi 10 and Galaxy S21). It’s an AMOLED panel, so colors are particularly vibrant, and there’s also HDR10+ support. It’s not clear why this was happening, but it repeatedly happened after we’d returned the settings to our preferences, and an update didn’t fix the issue. Xiaomi Mi 11 battery life

Let’s start with positives first. The Snapdragon 888 inside the Xiaomi Mi 11 delivered a performance increase of up to 28% when compared with the previous-generation Snapdragon 865 in the Geekbench 5 single- and multi-core CPU tests. It also outperformed the Samsung Exynos 2100 in the same benchmark but failed to match (or beat) the iPhone 12’s speeds. The A14 Bionic remains the CPU king for the time being. U.K. customers shouldn't have to worry though. There's much greater unity between the 5G carriers over here, and all of them should offer 5G support with the Mi 11 according to Xiaomi's specs. It is specially designed to provide maximum protection to the rear-camera module of the Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone. It is manufactured using upgraded technology for accurate cutouts and refined texture on the rear side. The good news continues in the performance stakes. The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first smartphone we’ve tested powered by the brand-spanking-new Snapdragon 888 chipset, which is Qualcomm’s first 5nm SoC, so we should expect to see higher levels of sustained performance with a boost to overall efficiency as well. The artistically-minded phone fan will possibly enjoy the various Movie modes the phone comes with. These let you shoot in a few novel ways – one, called ‘Magic zoom’, replicates the classic ‘dolly zoom’ film effect, while another, ‘Parallel world’, mirrors the bottom half of the screen on the top. Again, our video review contains samples of several of these modes. It's still very hard to take these macro photos without any stabilization. The one you see here was from a selection of 17 attempts. Normally, it takes me five at most to find a shot I'm happy with. The product is heavy and increases the weight of your smartphone. If you wish to buy, then you can visit the above-mentioned link. This is one of the cheap and best quality cases available for Mi 11. It is ultra-thin, so it will not add any extra weights to your device. It is available in different colours. As well as the video-shooting modes, there are a few ‘Movie filters’ which you can apply when you shoot a video, or afterwards – these seem to replicate a color grade film would get, which is when color range, contrasts, brightness or similar settings are tweaked to create a consistent art style. The available options all seemed pretty stark though, and we’d have liked to see some more subtle filters, or the facility to create your own. The not-so-good news is that the Xiaomi Mi 11 fails to impress in the stamina department. Lasting for 16hrs 38mins on a single charge at the default 60Hz and WQHD+ resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 11’s video rundown score isn’t anything special, matching the iPhone 12 but trailing behind the Galaxy S21 by over two hours. Switch to 120Hz, and the Mi 11’s battery life plummets to 13hrs 19mins.
