VARTA was founded in 1887 Germany, and was established fully in 1904 by delivering the first electric vehicle battery, famously driven by Thomas Edison. Supplied dry and the receiver will need to take the dry battery to the nearest location that is able to fill and charge the battery. Note: A Third Party may make a charge for this service Under no circumstances should chargers be used which attempt to de-sulphate deep-discharged batteries under 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14.9 volts before they begin the actual charge. The maximum charging voltage of 14.9 volts must never be exceeded. Recommended charging current 1A and maximum charging current 12A. Let the battery stand for at least 30 minutes after filling. Move or gently tap the battery so that any air bubbles between the plates will be expelled. If the acid level has fallen, refill with acid to the upper level. Filled and Charged at one of Shield’s Battery Centres for collection (Bishops Stortford/Yeovil/Poole/Leicester/North West-Leigh/Lincon Batteries-Leigh on Sea Essex)JMT lithium-ion motorbike batteries use iron phosphate (LiFePO4) as the cathode material and use the lithium-polymer process in their manufacture.
