Description

The course' objectives are to provide an overview and recap of selected, important functions in ZEN (blue edition). Getting ever closer to the theoretical ideal of pure, frequency-constant capacitance, these capacitors reduce capacitor-induced distortion to vanishingly low levels.

Our Installation Service only includes connecting to existing points and fixings. This does not include installing or moving plumbing, connection points or electrics. Installing new points or moving existing points is the customer’s responsibility we can recommend local tradesmen however this will be at the customer’s expense and we not accept any liability for their work. Any extended warranties offered by Peter Tyson are free. We do not include any form of insurance terms such as accidental damage or loan equipment cover.

How was the Zen Blue tested?

We do provide installation options for built-in appliances providing it is simply a case of fitting the appliance and furniture doors. Any additional work to the kitchen units or carpentry work required will need to be completed at the customer’s expense.

We reserve the right to refuse installation should our engineers think that the existing electrical or plumbing points are unsafe and in need of maintenance or if they are unable to install to existing furniture. does Bluetooth. This means that when we have seen Bluetooth DACs, they’ve been at the more affordable end of the market and this has some unavoidable limitations to how much a manufacturer can cram into them. This is not to say that there haven’t been some impressive engineering efforts over the years. The now departed Mass Fidelity Relay was a very clever (and largely bespoke) piece of kit and was, for many years, about the best implemented Bluetooth device I’d ever tested. Nothing has changed about the basic functionality of the Zen Blue in this update but then, it’s unclear what would have needed changing. The iFi supports SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, LDAC and HWA/LHDC. There isn’t a format I’m aware of that the iFi doesn’t support that could have been added for the new version. This is made available to a pair of RCA outputs or a 4.4mm pentacon connector (that can output to XLR if you wish) to go straight to an amplifier or you can output a digital signal via optical or coaxial. The decoding is handled by a Qualcomm 5100 series device that is partnered with an ESS Sabre DAC. This isn’t surprising; ESS has pretty much cornered the market by this point but with specific regard to Bluetooth, it’s encouraging because the Sabre is one of the more effective off the shelf solutions for jitter reduction - which is an unavoidable facet of Bluetooth in all its forms. Before any conversion takes place, the signal is tidied up and delivered in the best quality possible. This course provides basic knowledge about multicolor imaging using the LSM 9 family with ZEN (blue edition) in respect to different configurations and hardware settings.

I output coaxial digital audio from the Zen Blue into and Arcam irDAC. The richness, clarity and presence of the sound is undeniable!
