Zolcal-F is not the same as Zolcal D, it is a complementary feed, not a medicine, and is useful for maintenance of the adequate level of calcium and vitamin D3 for birds, reptiles and rabbits.

Zolcal-D is a veterinary formulated liquid supplement to be administered in fresh clean drinking water. It provides supplementary dietary calcium and vitamin D. Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium in the gut, maintaining calcium and phosphate concentrations in the blood, which enable normal mineralisation of bone. Some of the calcium is used from the hen’s bones which is processed into calcium carbonate which assists in shell formation. This can make layers in later life susceptible to osteoporosis (brittle and poor bone density) and the shell of the egg becomes thinner if they do not receive an adequate supply. Analytical constituents: Crude protein 0% - Crude fibres 0% - Crude fat 0% - Crude ash 0.5% - Moisture content 99.0% - Calcium 0.33% ZOLCAL-F Feed provides 3.25 mg calcium / ml, 4 IU vitamin D3 / ml. Routinely use 10ml (2 teaspoons) per 100ml of drinking water or give by direct administration at a rate of 1ml per 100g of animal. Or pour/sprinkle onto food at a rate of 25ml (half teaspoon) per 250g of food. For routine daily supplementation we recommend a full spectrum in-feed vitamin/mineral supplement such as AVIMIX or ARKVITS.
