Description

This pedal is more than just a versatile sound control tool, it also serves as a power supply for multiple Boss compact pedals when used with an AC adapter. This feature is incredibly convenient for musicians with extensive effects setups, as it eliminates the need for multiple power sources. The LS-2 is worth its weight in - well, not gold, but close. A while ago, I've bought a second unit to gain more flexibility in experimenting with groups and chains of many various pedals, looking for specific sounds. I wanted to be able to switch between groups at the push of a button, and easily compensate for volume differences between the groups. The LS-2 does all that. Switching: One of the best things is that you can switch between the A/B effect loops, A/B/bypass, A+B mix/bypass, and Output select (e.g. for switching between amps). So easy to switch between solo and rhythm sounds that consist of two or more pedals. The footswitch itself is as sturdy as any Boss pedal, and the one on the LS-2 is silent and 100% efficient. Bypass is true, didn't notice any signal loss. If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered BOSS’s colourful stomp boxes are the most recognisable pedal range in existence. For over 40 years, guitarists from bedrooms to stadiums have put their boot down on a BOSS effect to transform their sound. Several models have passed into guitar legend and early examples can fetch extremely high prices. Happily, BOSS have maintained their stellar reputation for world-class effects in bomb-proof casing with their current range and have fended off the imitators for decades to remain the pre-eminent single pedal effects manufacturer in the business. If there’s an effect for guitar (or bass, vocals, keys…be creative!) then you can bet BOSS have a pedal of it in their range or even invented it outright! Every guitar player should get to experience the joy of selecting a pedal from BOSS’s exhaustive roster, plugging it in and unleashing their wildest sonic dreams.

Can anyone point me (and anyone else who's interested!) in the direction of other options for clean/loop blending and A/B blending (preferably in one unit)? I'm just trying to weigh up all the options so I only have to fork out once! So far the names I've seen are: and a looper with an A/B output: Banzai A/B Looper For customers in outlying areas of the country, the price of the Extended Warranty may be marginally higher, due to the potential for higher collection and redelivery transport costs.

Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty Providing two line loops and six looping modes, even the most complex setups can be managed with ease thanks to the Boss LS-2 Line Selector pedal. Boss LS-2 Line Selector Pedal Key Features:

The Boss LS-2 Line Switcher is a straightforward pedal for switching between two different amps, or setting up two distinct pedal loops toactivate with the press of one button. For an easy and affordable way to improve the functionality of your rig, the LS-2 is a great tool to use. Two Line Loops The Boss LS-2 Line Selector Guitar Pedal is the perfect tool for any guitarist looking to effortlessly switch between multiple amplifiers and effects devices. With its compact design and intuitive controls, this pedal allows you to easily connect and route your signals to create a wide variety of sonic options. Equipped with two line loops and six modes, the LS-2 provides endless possibilities for your guitar setup. Whether you want to switch between different effects pedals or amplify your sound through multiple amps, this pedal ensures seamless transitions and precise control. With the BOSS Line Selector, two different effects chains can be switched: one for clean / crunch sounds (in the 'flavour' of Overdrive, Chorus, Compressor, Reverb, Flanger, etc.), and one for the lead sound (e.g., Distortion, Delay, Pitch shifter, etc.). Now you can switch between the two sounds comfortably with the LS-2: the required pedals can be activated in advance and are then available via a switching process. Further applications of the LS-2 include the possibility to control several amplifiers, and the pedal can also be used to supply a plurality of effect pedals with a power supply (sufficiently dimensioned). By using the LS-2 as a power supply, you can save space on your pedalboard and reduce clutter in your setup. You can also simplify your power management and avoid potential issues with ground loops or noise interference that can occur when using multiple sources. Power up to seven Boss compact pedals, making it a go-to tool for professional musicians who rely on multiple effects to achieve their desired sound. Specifications

They also do a single looper: Banzai Loop/Bypass it helps keep the signal clean from bad buffers, the boss Bf-3 (I put it in Loop A) has a nasty tone cut in my main signal so throwing it in my loop helps keep my clean tone sparkly. url="http://www.banzaimusic.com/Banzai-Dual-True-Bypass-Box-pr-17667.html"]Banzai Dual Looper I'm looking to do the same thing as the OP, not affecting the tone is a big issue for me too. I do tend to think that it's unlikely to be a difference I'd notice without direct A/B comparison, but I'm looking at using 2 Ampeg preamps for my O/D and clean so I don't really want to cut corners with the switching/blending. Having the options on that Moosapotamus Paralooper might be nice if the price comes out the same as a simpler unit, but is all that clever tomfoolery going to effect the tone? Once the true bypass is switched off I mean.

If you use multiple pedalboards and amps then the Boss LS-2 Line Selector pedal is going to make your life a whole lot easier. From complex soundscapes or simple, clean tones, the LS-2 provides you with the flexibility to do it all. And with the pedal switch, you can easily activate or bypass the selected loops, giving you instant control over your desired sound configuration. Effortlessly create the perfect tone for any performance or recording session. More than a control pedal

Power: Use a Boss PSA unit (or another stable & isolated 9V power supply) though, or you'll get an amount of free noise. From the LS-2 you can forward your stable 9V to a couple other pedals; so far I haven't heard any ground loops when powering up some (A/B) looped pedals from the LS-2. These figures will vary depending on the actual conditions of use. Accessories Leaflet ("USING THE UNIT SAFELY,""IMPORTANT NOTES," and "Information")Featuring a mode selector switch and level knobs for each line loop, the LS-2 gives you precise control over your sound. With its mode selector switch and level knobs, you can easily adjust the levels of each loop independently. This allows you to fine-tune your tone and create dynamic and expressive performances that are tailored to your specific needs.
