Once the setup is complete, you are good to go and will never have to worry about mowing the lawn ever again. What’s more you will have a well maintained and healthy lawn, due to the mulching process, at all times – happy days! Mowing Features One other slight issue, it felt a bit unclear with the app how to add/manage multiple zones, I had to tinker with it a bit before sorting it out. More on that below. The RTK navigation system on the Luba AWD 5000 had no problems getting around or between the two mowing zones I set up. The performance and final result of the cut were seriously impressive. The Luba AWD 5000 is also equipped with three bump sensors so that, in the event it misses an obstacle (which is unlikely), it’ll touch it, reverse and mow around the obstacle. I was quite impressed with the fact that these sensors are adjustable or can be turned off completely using the app, if needed. Smart Obstacle Avoidance relies on a four-ultrasonic radar sensor system, detecting and avoiding objects as small as 2 inches. The Mammotion app could use some work: It’s not as intuitive as I’d hoped for things like adding multiple zones, saving/editing zones, and more Bluetooth bug I mentioned above seems to have been fixed with a software update, but with two software updates I’ve had to try twice each time to get them to install (on the bright side Mammotion is consistently putting out regular updates!)I did have a couple of moments where I got a Bluetooth error that delayed the remote Luba control, but that seems to have been fixed with a software update that landed during my few weeks with the robot mower. For example, in the app, you have the ability to create no go zones such as flower beds in the middle of the lawn and the intelligent system will skip these and mow around them. Power System Currently there are 3 Luba mower models: Luba AWD 5000, Luba AWD 3000, and Luba AWD 1000. The 3000 and 1000 models are designed for smaller yards and carry a smaller price tag. The AWD 3000 was recently redesigned to include omni directional wheels, which allows it turn much easier and lowers the chance of it damaging your lawn. Here’s a comparison of the 3 models.
