It notes they were named after the favourite flowers of Dorothy Cadbury, a director of the company and renowned botanist, which grew in the gardens of the original factory at Bournville. [1] [2] Upon launch in Ireland they were called 'Cadbury's Irish Rose'; however, this name was discontinued in the 1970s. [3] Taking a break from perusing the shelves, Frank Vergara, 53, was so keen to try it that he made an exception from his usual rule of avoiding treats on weekdays. The sales and marketing worker from Waterloo said: “I definitely taste the white chocolate. There are little grains in there, I’m not sure exactly what they are but it’s quite pleasant. Quite sweet of course … But definitely indulgent, nice.”

As for the brands that’ve been lost, there have been a surprising number given the selection has only been in existence for just over 20 years. Unsurprisingly, given that the brand has been around for the best part of 85 years, there have been many flavours that had to be sacrificed to make way for the current crop. Cadbury Roses Favourites Strawberry Dream: a limited-edition bag of Strawberry Dream chocolates, launched in September 2014. With nearly three months to go until Christmas, Quality Street said it decided to introduce the new flavour to meet consumer demand. The new variety becomes the brand’s 12th flavour after one of the toffee flavours was discontinued last year.

The best souvenir I’ve brought home is a tube of Lakrids by Bülow from Copenhagen – liquorice chocolate bonbons that I have with my coffee. Vanilla Butter Caramel - A vanilla flavoured caramel coated in milk chocolate (silver with orange). They are identical in terms of the cover, but never knew and realized it, as Cadbury as a chocolate brand does not exist in my country – in contrast to milka. If someone had copied, it was Milka. Milka exists since 1901, Cadbury since 1824. Is Milka same as Cadbury? The new silver and gold-wrapped sweet is brown and white on the outside with crunchy pieces of biscuit inside. Café Noisette Some say that the French noisette is similar to an Italian macchiato. It’s a shot of espresso plus a dash of hot milk or cream. The French word “noisette” translates to hazelnut in English, but in terms of French coffee, it refers to the color, not the taste. Golden Barrel - Milk chocolate in the shape of half a barrel, filled with caramel (gold wrapper). Previously named Caramel Keg.
