Ron Turrell, who was involved at the start, said, "The initial aim was to encourage and support self-help groups across the UK. Stammerers were invited to be members and pay a small annual fee to help for the running costs. There was quite a social theme too, with some barn dances and annual general meetings were rather special as members travelled from all over the country to enjoy the social side of the meeting, a buffet followed the meeting and people made long term friendships." A splendid idea (I never discovered its predecessor!). We rarely use the UK Motorway service stations, except for the loos, which are usually quite good. Our attempts to find a good eatery just off the Motorway have been rather hit and miss, so the guide could be very helpful. I would love one please for my husbands giant defy , then he wouldn’t look at me with a “could you ring your bell please ” . Over the years our focus has shifted from supporting people who stammer, to include parents, speech & language therapists, teachers and professionals working with those who stammer. Attitudes around stammering, how it's referred to, whether or not it is a disability, whether we should seek a 'cure' — these are the issues that have shaped us. As a literal semi-deaf cyclist and walker (interestingly, from Bath) I know how important a good bicycle bell is. Do hope this design catches on.

The Weeping Angels first appeared in one of the most highly regarded Doctor Who episodes of all time – Blink in 2007. That was an adaptation of a short story titled What I Did in My Christmas Holidays – By Sally Sparrow that Steven Moffat originally penned for the 2006 Doctor Who annual. Read it online here. This would be truly lovely on my Boardman Fi Hybrid commuting to work every day. Should help me warn people engrossed in their phones not to step out! Hot on the heels came our poster campaign for International Stammering Awareness Day 2019, featuring several of our members and new Patron Scroobius Pip, showing that you can be successful in the career you want and stammer. ISAD 2019 campaign posters, featuring Owen, Natalie, George, Krishna, Scroobius Pip and Lyn St Dunstan West City of London Parish Register. John Henry Borell, bachelor and Kitty Howe, spinster, both of this parish were married in this church by banns this 7th days of May 1791 by me Joseph Williamson. One of the witnesses was Harriet How.

Lots of people on social media are suggesting that the identity of Bel and Vinder’s unborn child may be somebody we already know. But who? Or should that be – but Who? Wow looks really cool, and would be a nice addition to my lovely green Brompton to make commuting just that bit safer! It would make a lovely replacement for my defunct King of the Road vintage bell, sitting purely ornamentally on my silver Bristol Bicycles’ Whiteladies model. Fortunately, a legacy donated in the late 1980s enabled the charity to review its work, produce the AfS's first long-term strategic plan in 1988 and recruit its first members of staff. The legacy, together with effective fundraising and a successful bid to Telethon, brought in funds and an application to the Department of Health, as it then was, for match funding was successful. Great idea. I had something similar call ‘Off the Motorway’ or something similar, which used to be very useful, but is very old now, so a replacement would be brilliant!

We have been in existence for over 40 years, firstly as the Association for Stammerers, then the British Stammering Association, and now STAMMA.I think it was John Henry Borrell rather than an ancestor of his who emigrated from Switzerland, though it may have been an ancestor of his who had left France. There is a Bill (c.78) for his naturalization in Britain dated 1805. Although the Revocation of Nantes was in 1685 it is my impression that the Huguenots continued to leave France in dribs and drabs for many years after the revocation. I have lots of Huguenot ancestors from La Rochelle and they seems to come to UK at different times. I Stammer', in 2019, was the first public STAMMA campaign, aimed at changing public attitudes, and saw the new branding plastered on electronic billboards across the country. Our 'I Stammer' campaign billboards in 2019 From revelations in The Timeless Children, I imagined the Division being some historical secret Time Lord organisation interfering in the galaxy that was long done and dusted. This episode made it clear that the Division was still an active threat in the universe, which put paid to my previous theories. I still think Tecteun will turn out to be a pre-mind wipe Master, the exploitative relationship between her and the Timeless Child setting the blueprint for the loving antagonism between Master and Doctor.

This is a great idea for a book – having just had a baby and with in laws 300 miles away I suspect we’ll be stopping more often on long journeys. And congratulations on the ‘most ethical insurance’ award.

We are STAMMA

Using local church registers, Marie-Anne Marandet in collaboration with Jacques Caporal has unearthed and documented a more complete Borell family tree, revealing a complex series of marriages with other Levantine families, such as Guys, Chassaud etc. - details: My trusty steed is a pale blue Claud(ette – it is a ladies’ frame) Butler. Route? Manchester’s newly-built cycle path along the Oxford Rd/Wilmslow Road corridor. A nightmare pedalling home through the Curry Mile – the cycle path is so handy for other travellers such as skateboarders, mobility scooter users, folk with pushchairs, shopping, I-pods and all in need of a gentle reminder that two wheels are good…..

One of these on my road-going mobility scooter would have to be just fantastic. My ‘horn’ is so ineffective but this sounds as if it should sound great and it looks ultra-smart. Love to have one. In the 58 years since the first motorway service area opened at Watford Gap on the M1, Britain has lagged behind other countries when it comes to rest stops for long-distance motorists. The information on the anti-Christian pogrom and its date comes from a descendant of this family, Dennis Borell of England. However contemporary sources do not mention such brutality at that time, so perhaps the reasons for some leaving were economic?

My touring bike gets the bulk of the commuting workload, but doesn’t fit the sleek and stylish concept of the Knog Oi bell. This was the first Flux chapter where we didn’t see Joseph Williamson or his tunnels, and there was no sign of Barbara Flynn’s mysterious White Guardian Awsok either. Or Swarm. Boo. I love your thoughtful and sensible but slightly rebellious stance on all things cycling. Please keep it up.
