Description

The Krups toaster has seven different shades of browning your toast. It also features the bagel setting that browns only the inside of the bagel and defrosts setting for crispier results. In case you want to stop the toasting cycle, you can do it by pressing the cancel button. The Cuisinart Style Collection 4 Slot Toaster is the perfect choice for bagel lovers. It's a more common feature in American toasters to have a bagel setting, which will toast the inside of the bagel while leaving the outside nice and chewy, but because Cuisinart is an American classic brand, we got to experience the joys of a bagel setting for ourselves. One thing to note is that you should place the bagel with the outside facing in if you want the inside to be toasted on the bagel setting.

The only time the R180 tripped up was with Pillsbury Toaster Strudel, the frozen pastry version of Pop-Tarts. The toaster made the crust hot and flaky, but it didn't warm up the frozen filling, even after I selected the toaster pastry option and set it to frozen. Experimenting with toast settings can produce better results in an outlier case like this, but out of the box, the toaster pastry preset isn’t tuned well for Toaster Strudel. Even bagels come out ideal, and I’m talking about proper, big New York bagels. All but the fattest bagels I got from my local shop fit into the toaster's slots when sliced in half, and they came out with a nice crunchiness on the exterior that contrasts perfectly with the chewiness of the dough inside. (And yes, New York bagel purists, I know that you should never toast a freshly baked bagel.) As well as a decent variable control to give you your chosen perfect shade of brown, you should also look for defrost and keep warm functions. While it’s the unique patented ProHeat elements are virtually indestructible, if anything should go wrong, parts are super easy to replace or repair. That makes this a sustainable, quality and durable buy - the full works. The number of toasting levels: In a household where everyone has their own toast preference, there is nothing better than a toaster that has several levels of browning. It browned faster and more evenly than most other models on test, producing perfectly browned bread in a little over a minute and a half. Most others took more than two minutes and while 30 seconds might not seem much, if you’re rushing to get the kids to school, that could make all the difference. Instead of a lever or tab for starting your toast, the R180 has a 6.5-inch touch LCD on the front. It displays the time when not in use, and lets you choose a variety of options when you're ready to start toasting. A button below the screen ejects a small crumb tray for easy cleaning. There is a particular level of goldenness that most people want in their toast and this is where the device really shines. With its ultra-gadgety touchscreen control setting, you can choose a level of heating that matches your bread type. Using colour sense technology, the device adjusts the level of heat based on your chosen settings. With a plethora of features including multiple toasting levels, touchscreens, LED displays and exciting accessories (to make things like paninis and pitta breads) these clever devices will replace other devices (such as your toastie maker) and enhance your kitchenware. It can help you to make the best slices of toast you have ever eaten (or the most perfectly heated bagel, crumpet, croissant or waffle if you prefer). Best smart toasters at a glance:

The Smart Planet toaster comes with a sandwich cage where you can prepare grilled cheese sandwiches. You just need to put the cage with the sandwich into the slot and the toaster will toast the bread and melt the cheese. You can prepare two sandwiches at a time.Personally speaking, we just luuuuurv toast, in fact, we have at least one slice almost every day so we knew we'd be a good judge of toasting abilities. With Sage’s device, one touch is all it takes. It’s got extra wide slots, an automatic lowering feature and an LED indicator indicating how much time remains; all of which make toasting even easier than before. The removable sandwich cage on this Smart Planet toaster has a solid bottom that collects cheese and prevents it from dripping into the toaster. Once the sandwich cage is completely cooled, it can easily be washed from the excess cheese or crumbs. The Cuisinart smart toaster has a built-in motor that automatically lowers bread into the slots when you press the Toast button. The toast is also automatically lifted when it is done. The end of the toasting cycle is indicated by a beeping sound.
