Description

The Level U Pro work with Samsung’s Android Level app. The app offers a variety of fairly useful features, including the ability to see the headphone’s current battery level. There are also controls for audio settings like bass and clarity.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this matter for you. The display is protected with curved Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for additional protection. Even with some rough usage during our review period, we are happy to report the watch had no scratches. Lastly, the touch experience was also very responsive and easy to use throughout the review period. Notifications are generally easy to read and clear, but there are a couple of annoying quirks: they can’t display emojis and apostrophes have an unwarranted space after them, which looks a bit untidy. Amazfit Bip U Pro: Battery life and chargingMake no bones about it, this is going to be a fantastic device. With a winning combination of a beautiful display and monstrous hardware the U Pro is poised to shake up the import phone market and will worry a lot of the major players. Zepp app: The connecting app provides comprehensive data for activities in the form of charts and graphs. It’s easy to understand, but the app could be better in terms of its overall UI and navigation. It’s currently a bit all over the place, and it could take a while to locate things for first-time users. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we look forward to the opportunity to make things right.

We’ve seen some phones announced recently with crazy battery life. Yes, I’m talking to you Vernee X and Ulefone Power 3! The Elephone U Pro only contains a 3550mAh battery, so surely this is behind the curve? This is where the Elephone U Pro is getting me very excited. Reading through the spec list it’s clear this is an import phone that ain’t gonna take no prisoners! The plastic frame feels a little cheap but is more than rugged enough for everyday use. For avid runners they’re also water resistant – though they don’t have an IP rating so you wouldn’t want to get caught in a downpour wearing them. Amazfit also allows you to personalize the smartwatch. Like nearly every smartwatch available in the market today, the Amazfit Bip U Pro comes with several watch faces, allowing you to personalize it the way you want. That's not all. The Amazfit Bip U Pro also allows you to choose the important stats you wish to view at all times. The design and display details allow you to modify to show the data you want to see like steps or the weather, and so on.

The Samsung Level U Pro are decent headphones if you like collar-style designs

Elephone have always had an affinity for Samsung’s designs, and it would be fair to say that the Elephone U Pro bears more than a passing resemblance to the Galaxy S8. The U Pro is dominated by the 5.99 inch AMOLED display, which we’re expecting great things from. Along the Level U Pro’s right side you’ll also find the usual assortment of volume, play and pause controls typical to most collared headphones. The Amazfit Bip U Pro harnesses Bluetooth 5.0 LE and supports both Android and iOS devices; it pairs via the Zepp application which gives you more control over the smartwatch. The app experience isn’t entirely smooth though. The pairing process is straightforward, but once it's connected, you have to put some effort to get the exact menu you’re searching for. This is a hard process as the menus aren’t intuitively organized.

This partially remains true with the Samsung Level U Pro’s, though as collar headphones go they’re not bad. I was asked for proof of delivery, I provided that and was then informed to return the item to CALIFORNIA at my own expense!!! Paired with a Nexus 5X the earphone’s do a solid job not pushing any one end of the sound spectrum. The 13mm Dynamic and 13mm Piezo drivers deliver fairly well balanced, clear sound quality throughout my testing. The Level U Pro’s UHQA technology is being marketed by Samsung as a key selling point. For those that missed it, UHQA is a bit of tech available on select Samsung smartphones, like the Galaxy S7. Another major positive is that the U Plus will ship with Android 8, Oreo, from day one. It’s been nearly 4 months since it was released but there are still very few devices running the latest version so Elephone must be congratulated on that.

The Samsung Level U Pros are pretty good as wireless collar-style headphones go. They offer reasonable sound quality, feature a useful companion app, and water resistant design. Outside of the Audio Technica ATH-ANC40BT’s these are the best collar headphones I’ve tried recently. Of course, the ‘Elephone in the room’ is the price… It’s not cheap. But in terms of the hardware that’s offered it seems pretty reasonable. Few import phones have made the leap to using AMOLED technology as yet, but this has a number of benefits over LCD screens. The main bonus is increased power efficiency and excellent contrast.
