About this deal

Whisky and gin are perceived to be the most popular of the Scottish spirit categories, however, both actually struggle to compete with vodka in Scotland, which is it turns out is very much a vodka loving nation. The distillers say a unique quintuple micro-distillation technique had to be created just to produce the vodka, which they say adds to its already distinctive character. From a production point of view we had to commission our own still, we couldn't produce what we intended in anything else, but we planned on distilling one day a week. So we have got another four days up our sleeve – we do have the ability to expand quite dramatically." Big name brands such as Smirnoff (67.6 per cent of the market), Glens (8.7 per cent) and Absolut (3.2 per cent) continue to dominate.

NB premium vodka - Hot on the heels of their wonderful award-winning gin, NB Distillery has created the world’s first London Dry citrus vodka. Creator Vivienne Muir said: “What we’ve produced is totally new and we think that it will throw a curveball into the vodka market in terms of its uniqueness." He said: “The term single malt does raise the assumption that the spirit is made from whisky but it is actually made 100 per cent from Scottish-grown malted barley. Other than the ubiquitous Glens, Scotland has actually been quietly producing quite a few interesting vodkas.Already well know for their NB Gin, recently judged the world’s best London Dry gin, the couple have now produced what is thought to be the world's first London Dry citrus vodka. And though this is mainly down to sales from the big multinationals, small batch producers, like those in the gin industry, are now beginning to make their mark. A Paisley firm has gone one better than selling tea to China...by successfully exporting Scottish vodka to Russia. Green, fresh fruit on the nose, a creamy palate, and a long earthy finish makes this vodka one of the tastiest to come out of Scotland yet.

Vodka is considered to be the world's best mixer, it will quite literally go with anything, don't believe us? Feel free to experiment for yourself (within reason of course). The unique method of distillation, custom filtration system, and pure ingredients bring forth a fresh, extremely drinkable vodka. The malt is evident in the richness and smoothness of the palate.Christie first launched Valt in the UK but it is now also available in Germany, Italy, Austria, Spain, Malta, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Poland. It can also be found in Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Jakarta but the brand has yet to conquer the biggest and toughest spirits market, the United States of America. Valt Vodka, which has its headquarters in Forbes Place, has teamed up with Tullibardine Whisky and Edinburgh Gin to supply Asda with their products.

Paisley is the ideal location for us and our customers because it is near the M8 motorway and Glasgow Airport”

compared with the famous brand Smirnoff, which sells more than 25 million nine-litre cases every year. A lot of the Russians were very scornful but the reality is that they like vodka because it is the most readily-available spirit on the market. And Valt has set itself above the vodkas they were used to because of the flavour to it. With its new Lone Wolf distillery, the company is entering the spirits industry with artisanal gin, vodka, mixers, and eventually, whisky. Surely fans of craft beer are familiar with BrewDog. Established in Aberdeen in 2007 by two passionate Scots, BrewDog has since become one of the most successful craft brewing companies in the world. Keeping alcoholic beverages in mind, Scottish craft beer and artisanal gin are two fast growing industries. Now Scottish vodka seems to be catching up as producers create bottlings with their unique twist on the spirit.
