Hi, everyone. Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. Just starting second year caravanning with new Bailey U2 Cadiz. Whale will be able to examine the pump plastics, dismantle and determine if a weld or other join has failed (due to manufacture fault or bad assembly) . .. their experience and knowledge of how the units are made will allow them to determine that. ..

The flow of hot and cold water around the van should then be constant and smooth. Cleaning the tank A high-quality handover will include a thorough test of the stare systems These systems are compact and relatively lightweight, and can be powered by gas, mains electricity, or a combination of the two. Truma’s Combi 4E system provides up to 4KW of powerBailey fit their pump etc. ,. on a plastic tray with drain holes to the outside so a small reasonably slow leak will probably not do internal caravan damage. .. better than some other makers! Some luxury caravans have an onboard water tank, which needs to be filled with clean water. Depending on the size of the vehicle, these vary from around 40 litres upwards. As internal tanks should ideally be empty when you’re on the road, the system needs to be primed when it is refilled. Some ****** has chopped it up into little pieces, put a piece of wood in the end of it, left it on the floor, came round to the van and insulted me, tipped fairy liquid in my aquaroll - all very hilarious!!

Tried fixing with LSX sealant. Worked for a bit with supply tap turned on low, but as soon as either pump or heating turned on, pressure was too great and it failed. Alde also heats the water, and its 3020 model has a high output of 8.7kW when gas and electric are combined. Alde claims its hot water system can heat its 8.4-litre tank to 50°C in 30 minutes, when used on the Boost setting. How they work http://www. caravantalk. co. uk/community/topic/103223-whale-aquasource-failed-after-8th-day-of-use/The method of emptying the tank varies from caravan to caravan. Most vans drain down via a small inline valve located close to the heating system. A few tanks sit under a hatch in the floor. With these, you’ll often find a handle and pull-cord, which, when tugged, opens a valve and drains the tank. Other vehicles have an external drain tap, which sits under the edge of the caravan. Whether the water is delivered straight to the inlet port on the side of the caravan or continuously to an aquaroll with a pressure switched pump, both depend entirely on the integrity of the internal plumbing. If you want to use one then it's your call, but if it fails and blows a pipe internally then it can make a BIG mess. One important point to bear in mind is that on grass pitches, you should never drain very hot water straight onto the grass before you leave – for obvious reasons! Priming the system

The water pressure in the caravan is absolutely dismal using the Aquasource & and we are getting increasingly frustrated with it. The water pressure at the tap on the pitch is quite powerful, and I do appreciate that the Aquasource has an inbuilt pressure reducer, however, I really cannot believe the water pressure in the van should be this low. The poor water pressure is making the shower virtually on unusable and it takes an absolute age to do a simple thing like fill the washing up bowl up. We are quite new to caravanning, this being only our third outing and we have always used this connection (we’ve never actually use the Aquaroll yet). Are there any obvious faults or issues that I should look out for? Probably a stupid question, but should the water pump switch on the Control Panel be switched on or off whilst using the Aqua source connection? Might the low pressure because by something unconnected (i.e. surge damper, filter etc)? One problem with these submersible pumps on flexible rubber pipes is that they can often curl up inside the barrel, meaning that the pump on the end is not fully underwater. Our collections by our couriers are happening as usual. As it stands, delivery times are not being affected too much. Please be aware though that Royal Mail and other couriers are sometimes prioritising essential items so please bear with us if your delivery takes slightly longer than expected. I keep forgetting to run the internal pump as part of the drainn-down process - although it is mentioned in the handbook under Draining and Winterizing the Water System First trip of season, and found leak from Whale onboard pump. Using Whale Aquasource on serviced pitch at the time. The inline switch is usually yellow and is in its drain-down setting when it’s in the upright position. When putting your caravan into winter storage, you should leave the valve in this position. These days, combi heating systems are most popular, and they are efficient, heating both the water and the internal space (hence the name) throughout the caravan. The Whale Easy Water Connector means there is no need to carry heavy water containers. It allows a reliable continuous supply of water and delivers water without using battery power. The Whale mains water connection is suitable for use with caravans and motorhomes with either microswitch or pressure switch systems. It regulates mains water pressure to nominal 1.5 bar (max. 1.8 bar) and is ideal for use in UK and European Parks with mains water hook-up facilities.
