A little water usually gets on it when I’m inflating floaties down by the lake. It’s nice to not have to worry about it as much. The Flextail range of pumps will work with the following brands:- Thermarest, Exped, Rab, Sea to Summit, Mountain Equipment & Montbell. Not compatible with Nemo & Klymit It’s a portable rechargeable electric air pump that’s not much bigger than an egg. It weighs hardly anything and it actually works.It has a small battery that doesn’t need a lot of power to be charged. Which means you can charge the Flextail with pretty much any USB port. Perfect for use in tents or around camp and can be used to create a cosy glow or a more intimate atmosphere. The zero’s real weight to match the X2 is 77.8g. Therefore the real weight difference is a mere 0.64oz/18.2g (96g-77.8). And since the power of inflation (Kpa) is much lower (2.5Kpa vs 4.0Kpa) you’ll still have to use “lung power”. The zero would be a better choice IF the Kpa was the same, but it’s not. It’s almost 50% less and you’ll still have to use your lungs to inflate your pad. It won’t be much IF you’re using a short mummy-shaped pad. But it’ll be a hell of a difference if you’re using a regular rectangular pad. Now, imagine a LONG, RECTANGULAR pad… The zero is no match for those. Instead of having to mess around trying to get the air out while keeping the stem open, I just put the floatie inflation nozzle on the deflation end of the Tiny Pump 2X.
