Since I haven’t seen this anywhere else on the harness, I assume this could be a quality issue with this piece of material and has nothing to do with the design. So far, the softer, inside material seems to hold up without having the top layer to protect it but it’s not a great result to see after 3-4 months.

Lucy was my test subject for this harness, and, she has the most sensitive skin of all my dogs, and can create a welt on herself very easily.
