But some viewers were disappointed not to see a full tribute to the late star. @transchronic said: "Disappointing that there's no tribute to Paul at the end of his last-ever show. Not even a mention from the continuity announcer to confirm that it was the last show #pogdogs." @LCobbyWriter replied: "I know, I wasn't even sure til I saw it on here!" Paul O'Grady will be seen being forced to say a sad goodbye in the final series of For The Love Of Dogs. It's set to be an emotional watch for fans of the ITV series following the death of the all-round entertainer last month. O'Grady's husband Andre Portasio confirmed the tragic news in a statement on March 29.

I knew it was coming as he’d been diagnosed with a tumour but even so it’s awful when you lose a pet. He was the cheekiest of the gang and one of the other pigs who was obviously very fond of him is now depressed and gone into mourning and there’s those who say that animals don’t have feelings. All of this high-quality food is available at the lowest possible price at all times, so you can keep your dog healthy and happy without having to stretch your household budget too far. That's why we're delighted to introduce our Hero Naturally Nutritious dog food, a range of food that prides itself on its wholesome simplicity. After all, your pets are members of your family, and they should never have to accept less than the best. ITV’s Managing Director of Media and Entertainment, Kevin Lygo said, on behalf of ITV: ‘We are fortunate to have had a long association with Paul, at ITV. He was a huge, inimitable talent, delighting our viewers through his comedy and entertainment with a warmth, humour and joy that audiences of all generations related to and connected with. His partner Andre Portasio said at the time: "He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion." Paul and Andre had been together for 18 years and tied the knot in 2017. The couple lived in a farmhouse home in Kent, which also housed a variety of their rescue animals.

Manufactured at our own mill in the heart of Yorkshire, we use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible to help meet the nutritional needs of your dogs and ensure that their food bowls are never left full. Veronica Green, who appeared in both series two and three of the show, tweeted: ‘RIP to Paul O’Grady one of the drag greats. Sleep well Lily.’Four years before this, Paul announced that his cairn terrier cross, Olga, was diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to treatment, the loveable canine managed to live for another four years before passing away at the age of 14. In 2017, O'Grady took over as host of the rebooted version of Blind Date on Channel 5. Last year, he was joined by the Queen Consort for a special episode of For The Love of Dogs to mark 160 years of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The TV star died "unexpectedly but peacefully", with his partner Andre Portasio confirming the tragic news. Andre said: “He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, friends, family, animals and all those who enjoyed his humour, wit and compassion."
