Unfortunately, some copies of Sideways have very loose ankle joints, meaning he can be quite difficult to stand up. This is due to his very thin leg design, as well as most of the figure's mass being included in and around the upper half of Sideways. However, one can use Sideways's gun to help with his stability by having him holding it down to the point where it touches the surface Sideways is standing on.

But the Studio Series Sideswipe is definitely the better of all three in my opinion. He is not too overly complicated to transform, he can actually stand pretty good but it does take a few times standing him to get the hang of it (got to adjust the toes just right), highly poseable, and he has both gun and sword options. I love the fact the swords can detatch if you want to replicate the scene in ROTF where he cut Sidesways in two. Sideways's license plate in Revenge of the Fallen reads "269 FPJT". It can be briefly seen twice; however, the only time it's seen in its entirety, just before Sideswipe splices Sideways in half, the letters and numbers are mirrored, implying that the shot was mirrored in editing.Junkion Scrapheap and Buzzworthy Bumblebee Ironhide both use the 86-24 number, the first time the same number has been used for different characters between the two lines. That was his huge difference between him and every other autobot...he rolled around like he was on skates..in rotf with the sideways scene his feet were highlighted well. It's a huge part of sideswipe to see wheel feet....and this figure just does not at all. Sideways operated as a high-speed reconnaissance operative with the ability to snipe at Autobot opponents from afar with his plasma sniper rifle, engage them up-close with his rapid-firing slag repeater, and slow enemies to a crawl with his graviton mine when he needed to get away. He uses a pair of saws in melee combat. Along with Breakaway, Sideways was initially released in two color schemes, a light silver version and a less common very dark silver version. If you move the headlights, doors and legs of the lighter Sideways to the darker one, allowing for a dark hood and roof, and silver everywhere else, it helps to make for a slightly more movie-accurate Sideways. However, the stripes will still be missing. The code names of many of the other figures, assuming they even had code names, are still unknown, as those toys have (thus far) consistently been listed under their actual characters' names. Meanwhile, a listing for a supposed Voyager Class figure using the code name "Destroyer" later turned out to be a mislabeled Energon Igniters Speed Series Barricade from the Bumblebee movie toy line, with which the Studio Series shares its code names.
