Most of the armor sets summoned through amiibo (except the Fierce Deity Set) are notoriously difficult to upgrade because, as a whole, they require the use of a significant number of Star Fragments, which are among the most precious and rare resources in the game, all while being notoriously grueling to farm. Scanning an amiibo that is not specifically compatible gives the player a Star Hair Clip of one of five possible colors (yellow, pink, blue, green, silver). This includes all The Legend of Zelda character amiibo in the Japanese release, and all The Legend of Zelda character amiibo except Zelda and Sheik in the European and Australian releases. Zelda is the princess of Hyrule and the namesake of The Legend of Zelda games. Her appearance may change, but she always plays an important role. You can change your paraglider fabric by heading to the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno, and there are some rather lovely ones too. The health remaining at the end of the trial will become the maximum health in Breath of the Wild. Note that the best method (for Breath of the Wild's sake) is to first collect the maximum of 20 hearts (all heart containers and pieces) before ever entering the Cave of Shadows, the 5-level trial, and use the Wolf Link amiibo to heal Link immediately before completing the trial. If the 15 and 30-level versions are also completed, all three results are recorded on the amiibo, and Breath of the Wild will use the highest result of the three. Four additional amiibo were announced during Nintendo's E3 presentation on June 13th, 2017. They were released for the first time on November 10th, 2017, and allow the player access to even more exclusive items. It's required for the player to have cleared at least one of the Divine Beasts to obtain the exclusive items in these amiibo.

The Epona amiibo adds Epona to the game randomly, you still have to seek him out and find him.
