Willa and her six-year-old son Scout are spending Christmas at Bramble House. Finn soon finds that she is not the gold digger he expected, that the secret she’s hiding actually is about Scout and that’s why this Christmas is so important…

While this clearly used a variation on the Hallmark Christmas movie formula, it was a fairly unique spin. It definitely didn’t feel like the plot we’ve seen in at five other movies over the years. ❤️ These Characters The character Finn looked good, but with a bad intention in his mind makes a villain, at least in the beginning. The actor who played it kind looked expressionless, even when he smiled. As the story went on, he looked better. Maybe I got used to it. Because slowly his behaviour has changed, leaving us to expect, how he would react at the end. You know without making something into a complicate, there's no end twist. In this, it was his identity and purpose of meeting Willa. That character makes this tale possible. But Willa is the one mysterious until she reveal about her life, particularly the secret about her son. If it was that was in the book, shame on the author. But, shame too on the writers and producers for not fixing such a conflicting opening and closing to the film. Audiences remember such things when they get into good stories. Willa Knightly, a young nurse and single mom with a 6-year-old son who fought and won their battle with Cancer. Willa is a nurse who helped Finn's dad in his dying days, it is only because his dad left her some money in his will that Finn knows anything about Willa. His dad also gave Willa a ring and bought her a trip to Marietta, Montana for christmas before he died.

‘Twas “A Bramble House Christmas”

Then after the inevitable confrontation, suddenly Molly is totally convinced she was wrong about Willa (because Willa cried and said so and stormed out of the room?). After learning this, Finn tells Molly that he no longer plans to challenge the will and tosses the injunction in the trash. Oddly, Molly now seems convinced that Willa conned their father out of the money and, before you know it, she arrives at Bramble House. Talking about the filming process, Autumn Reeser (Willa) told Starry Mag, “We shot on this horse farm and it was really quaint. We had a lot of fake snow to make it look as Christmas as possible. I liked it because I didn’t have to be as cold as I usually am.” British Columbia is frequently used in Hallmark movies. The shooting usually takes place in summer, despite most of them being Christmas movies. The cast and crew put in maximal effort to tap into the wintry and magical vibe Christmas usually emanates because of the fact that these movies are produced way ahead of the holiday season. A Bramble House Christmas Cast Scout became friends with Finn, but Finn had ulterior motives and was lying to Scout and Willa for most of the movie.

Finn Knightly (Conrad) has come to Bramble House hoping to meet up with the woman his father bequeathed Fifty-thousand dollars to her for all she did while he dealt with his end of life battle. His mother might have ulterior motives but Finn really just wants to know why the bequest. This movie is also a winner because it has multiple storylines going on – it isn’t all just the Willa and Finn relationship. There’s also: Finn Conrad wants answers. Egged on by his bitter mother and his concerned sisters, he visits Bramble House to find out why his recently deceased father didn’t tell his children that he was dying and left a family heirloom and money to the young nurse who knew him for only six weeks.Review originally posted at Snowbound in Montana and loved it! A Bramble House Christmas was even more magical -- set in the Bramble house B&B in the heart of Marietta. I loved the traditional Christmas activities (sledding, pond skating, strolling through down the main drag) and the coziness of the B&B. Usually I'm not a huge fan of books with babies and kids but this one was so well done!! Finn and Willa really got to know each other over the course of the book and everything felt right. All I can say is that I wish Marietta existed and that I could spend Christmas there!! If I had to fault the plot for something, it would be that the reason that Finn's dad abandoned his kids was kind of unbelievable. So, his dad was a workaholic, and he felt his kids would be better off if he left, thereby freeing Finn's mom to marry someone who would be a real father to them? That just seems nonsensical. Give the dad some real motivation for leaving, such as alcoholism. That would make more sense. Also, at the end of the dad's life, when it was clear from his conversations with his nurse Willa that he loved his children and had a lot of regrets about leaving them, why didn't he make any effort to reconcile with them? Why didn't Willa encourage him to do so? The man was dying, after all. There needed to be a credible explanation for that, also, and none was given. I haven't read the book that this movie was based on, but I suspect that some of these details were dealt with better in the book and were lost in translation to the screen. When Finn Conrad’s recently deceased father leaves his nurse Willa Fairchild (that he only knew for a very short time) fifty thousand dollars in his will, Finn travels to the Bramble House B&B in Marietta, Montana, where Willa is spending Christmas with her six-year-old son, to find out some answers from her. Once he meets Willa and gets to know her, Finn finds that she is far from the gold digger that he thought her to be and falls for both her and her adorable son, Scout. We have this love story surrounded by the ever-present warmth of Marietta and all of the ongoing characters. There are questions about an old rumored affair, a secretive Santa, and a little boy with the strength and heart to bring all of them together in the end.
