Another point I have observed is that some verses are fear-related, but it is more indirect than literally saying “do not fear.” This poses the question, how far can we take this? There are probably lots of Bible verses that somehow indirectly also have a connection to fear, or cast fear in a bad light (e.g. narrative that shows us a character getting into a bad situation because of fear). If there is ‘else’ in a sentence than the conjunction is always ‘but’. For example, call him anything else but a fool. (Here else but is used as a preposition). Job 5:21 – You will be protected from the last of the tongue, and need not fear when destruction comes.

II Kings 19:6 – Isaiah said to them, ‘Tell your master, “This is what the Lord says: do not be afraid of what you have heard – those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.”’ Genesis 26:24 – That night the Lord appeared to him and said, ‘I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you and will increase the number of your descendants for the sake of my servant Abraham.’ Use past conditional tense(were) after ‘if’/ ‘as’. For example, He behaves as if he wasa king (was must be replaced by were). Next, I give you some of the examples of conjunctionin a sentence for your better understanding. Cumulative or Copulative: Ecclesiastes 11:10 – So then, banish anxiety from your heart and cast off the troubles of your body, for youth and vigour are meaningless.Genesis 46:3 – ‘I am God, the God of your father,’ he said. ‘Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there.’ Psalm 46:2 – Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea. Yet’ is used for trivial contradiction, ‘But’ is used for moderate contradiction and ‘Still’ is used when the contradiction is extreme. So, let me show you all the example of this, (1) He is good at studies yethe could not pass. (2) He is poor buthonest. (3) He is a dangerous man stillI want to meet him. Jeremiah 42:11 – Do not be afraid of the king of Babylon, whom you now fear. Do not be afraid of him, declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you from his hands. Jeremiah 10:5 – Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, their idols cannot speak; they must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them; they can do you no harm nor can they do any good.’

Matthew 10:26 – ‘So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.’ Readers Who Like This Poem Also Like: Based on Topics: Night Poems, Light Poems, Mind Poems, Faces Poems, Youth Poems, Dreams Poems, Cry Poems, Thought & Thinking Poems, Pain Poems, Truth Poems, Education PoemsJoshua 11:6 – The Lord said to Joshua, ‘Do not be afraid of them, because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them, slain, over to Israel. You are to hamstring their horses and burn their chariots.

The motto, from Shakespeare’s King Henry VIII, epitomises the journalistic policy of the newspaper for over 192 years. The tradition of integrity, fair play and an innate acceptance that there are two sides to every story has been the hallmark of dozens of newsmen and women who have trodden a path over the creaking floors of the old newsrooms and the polished surfaces of the modern day premises. If there is ‘other’ in a sentence than the conjunction is we use is ‘that’, But if ‘none’ or ‘nothing’ is present in a sentencethe conjunction is ‘but’ (then it uses as a preposition). II Kings 25:24 – Gedaliah took an oath to reassure them and their men. ‘Do not be afraid of the Babylonian officials, he said. ‘Settle down in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go will with you.’ Remember when adding conjunction, the balance of the sentence should be correct. For example, if we use ‘not only – but also’, let me show you- Not onlyhe beat me but alsoabused me. Here ‘but also’ is placed before the verb abused, so if you adding conjunction ‘not only’, it should add before the verb ‘beat’, not before a subject. So here the correct form is – He not onlybeat me but also abused me. Acts 18:9 – One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.’I Samuel 23:17 – ‘Don’t be afraid,’ he said. ‘My father Saul will not lay a hand on you. You shall be king over Israel, and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul knows this.’ I Kings 17:13 – Elijah said to her, ‘Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and make something for yourself and your son.’ II Chronicles 32:7 – ‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.’ John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
