Just left a review for the Outwell tomcat mp, which I've just bought, but the reason I just bought it was because of this one . The Coleman instant :(

We have enjoyed camping all over the place including the Highlands and Islands in worse weather and lesser equipment with no such issues. No condensation problems found in inner sleeping compartment and opening the vents and mesh in outer compartment seemed to obviate it there. Ideally it really needs some more vents each side which can also be left open all of the time but covered to help with the breath-ability. Besides spacious dark bedrooms the Instant Tent™ size 4 provides a large protected living area, large (selfrolling) windows and high quality fabrics with super-strong weather proofing. It also showed the need for a porch area for somewhere to cook/and cover the doorway when getting in/out.My rating and review of this tent are based on my understanding of the design, and limitations thereof, before I bought it. That said, perhaps a better tent for the enthusiast than the casual camper. He gave me the number of the SW England sales rep , Who could explain to me how I had put up the tent incorrectly. As mentioned earlier, the tarp floor is a nice touch as well. Because the pole system relies on hinged/jointed corners, you're unlikely to stress any poles to the point of bending or breaking. The Instant Tent is built sturdy and should have a long life. Value Have used the tent 4 times last year,once setting it up in very rainy and gusty (40mph + ) conditions - I had to tether the tent while setting it up. Coleman has a very European approach to the design of their tents as they sell to all major European countries. They place great emphasis on quality features which means that while Coleman Tents may not always be the cheapest tents, they certainly manufacture quality tents.

This is where the Instant Tent 6 shines. it's one of the least expensive tents we've reviewed. Does it have its flaws? Sure. But it's still a great value at that price-point. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you might want to look elsewhere, but if you live in California, Colorado, or any other state that typically sees 300+ days of sun a year, the Instant Tent 6 would be a worthy choice. After a couple of days, the seams on the tight hangers were strained so much, we could see daylight through the stitching. I returned the tent because had it rained, water would get in and I could anticipate failure of the seams shortly after. Then started to extend the lower parts of the legs at about the half way point one of the legs collapsed and the tent toppled over. The interior of the tent is a little on the smaller side, with a peak height of only 44 inches, so it is best suited for sleeping rather than socializing.

Value

The tent has, however been returned, I hope not unfairly. That is why I give only 5/10 for an otherwise well-made and designed tent. We had 2 SIMS in there along with a bag of clothes we could if we moved things a round a bit have both had room to sit inside on normal height chairs. Perhaps I had a bad tent with shorter hangers, perhaps it is a design flaw. I think I may wait for the 2014 version before buying again. So far have had no problems with the tent ,spent a total of 12 nights in it . Spacious sleeping compartments-able to take my Laguna Xl and wife's standard camp beds in sleeping compartment as well as camp table,chairs and cooking equip in outer compartment.
