The cape will be drawn coming from the shoulders and opening flying towards the sides of the character. The fact that the cape will be drawn this way will help us give dynamis to the character, even if the character is an static position. Just like the thighs, the forearms will be drawn as tubes which become narrower as they approach the wrist, where they are connected to the hand. Ensure that the wrists are aligned with the crotch area and use a rectangular shape to denote the hand which is folded in a fist. Use the helmet as a reference for paper crafts or create a LEGO Star Wars helmet inspired by the iconic Darth Vader mask. Who is Darth Vader? Also, we will paint some hard reflections on the helmet. We will use the same light grey color, but we will paint these reflections with hard edges. • STEP 11 – PAINTING THE SHADOWS

I use the cross-hatching style if I want to darken an already shaded area. This technique is quite similar to the hatching style only that in this case, when I’m done with the hatching lines, I go over them with a similar set of parallel lines in a different direction. However, since he is trying to turn Luke to the dark side, he cleverly plays on these insecurities and appeals to his strengths. Yes, he has let go of his fear. That is the first step to the dark side. Now, Vader insists, that there is more. That Luke must go further. That he must become so livid that his anger alone will sustain him. We will now draw the nose details and the respirator grill. The nose will be ended in a flat and curved shaped triangle. The respirator will be a big triangle with two circles, each one located on the two lower vertices of the triangle and the nose´s triangle being the upper vertice. Inside the triangle´s respirator, you should draw 5 vertical openings with a criss-cross pattern inside them, simulating the filter grill of the respirator. • STEP 8 – DRAWING THE FINAL LINEARTWe have made the tutorial pretty easy to follow, with a step by step guide for each of the 2 tutorials. We are going to start with a dummy which will serve as a base for our final drawing. So let’s get started on our first tutorial. FIRST TUTORIAL: HOW TO DRAW DARTH VADER´S HELMET There were few moments as satisfying as Darth Vader’s arrival in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story™. It seems like the whole movie is building to Darth Vader. We were all on the edge of our seats as he walked through the smoke to greet Director Krennic™. All that Krennic cares about is his good standing with the Emperor. He wants to meet the Emperor. He wants Darth Vader to recognize his efforts, and mention them to the Emperor. And yet, he is incredibly short sighted. Darth Vader’s internal struggle between the light side and the dark is truly shown in this quote. In Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi™, Luke Skywalker™ truly becomes a Jedi™, but one must wonder whether Darth Vader too, for a moment, remembers the call of the light side. As a matter of fact, leaning too heavily into the dark side of the Force nearly killed him. Anakin was meant to bring balance and failed at the cost of everything he ever loved. It was only the Empire’s medical advances and robotic suit that saved him. And yet, he distrusts technology when compared to the might of the Force. This is one of the many hints that reveal the warring nature of his soul. If you pay careful attention, you’ll find the contradictions in many of his words and actions. Shadows help to bring a sense of three-dimensionality to images by creating the illusion of volume and depth. When it comes to this step, I would recommend painting over the area using a darker tone of the local color. For example, as you can see in the image, I shaded around the jaws, eyes, and interior of the helmet using a darker tone of the grey dark blue which is the base color. • STEP 12 – PAINTING THE FINAL TOUCHES

Dress up as Darth Vader and immerse yourself in the Star Wars saga. This premium electronic helmet makes it a great addition to any Star Wars fan’s collection. It also shows us how Darth Vader has a brilliant mind for long term strategy. Vader frames this as an event. A militaristic victory! He insists that the generals and admirals around him are well aware that this is one step closer towards the goals of the Emperor. His ability to see this larger picture reveals why he is, in fact, such a good strategist. Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you’ve constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.” From an outsider’s perspective, it might seem obvious that this terrifying Sith Lord in full gear would easily defeat an old man in simple robes. However, Obi-Wan is able to become a force ghost, something a Sith Lord would never be able to do. And so, even though Darth Vader might be a master of the force, this quote could indicate that Vader is still unsure of himself.Make an epic addition to your cosplay costume with the DIY premium roleplay helmet. The vertical line design on the face mask is instantly recognizable. Darth Vader, formerly known as Anakin Skywalker, was a Jedi apprentice who fell to the dark side, notably in “Revenge of the Sith.” Hayden Christensen portrayed him in the prequel trilogy. With his unrelenting terror armor sets, including the premium roleplay items like the magnetic multi-piece assembly helmet, shin guard, and chest plate. He became a symbol of fear and dominance in the Galactic Empire. The straight-line design on the front of the mask, along with the rest of the costume, adds to his imposing presence. Step 9: Tighten Darth Vader's nose shape by drawing another arc on top of the original arc you drew at the bottom of his nose. Connect the bottom half of his nose with the top half using slightly tilted vertical lines. Darken the remaining lines on the top half of this Star Wars character's nose.

The second part will be to enhance the already existing highlights by brightening them. You should use a soft brush so you can achieve a glowing effect. If you are coloring in digital, painting this highlights in a Color Dodge layer will be a great idea. Step 8: Darken in Darth Vader's helmet by drawing a curved line that starts where the construction lines cross in between his eyes. Draw this line so it follows the small L shape outside his head, and end just below the L shape. Draw the same thing on the other side. Now darken in the middle portion of his helmet (the lines extending up from his nose). Start above the curved line you drew earlier in this step and follow the outside L shape. Connect the two lines at the end with a slightly tilted horizontal line. Finish drawing Darth Vader's helmet by darkening the top part of the main oval. SECOND TUTORIAL: HOW TO DRAW DARTH VADER FULL BODY When it comes to drawing the final line art, I recommend keeping it simple. Excessive detailing may end up complicating the final image. Draw your final line art on top of the dummy you created on the previous steps. • STEP 8 – DRAWING THE SHADOWSNext, we will paint what we have drawn thus far. Paint the whole mask and helmet with a dark-grey blue color. This will serve you as the base color of your helmet. • STEP 10 – PAINTING THE LIGHT Darth Vader’s mask has a significant historical significance in the Star Wars universe. It was created by the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious, to keep Vader alive after he was severely injured in a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. The mask was designed to provide Vader with a life-support system that would help him breathe and maintain his bodily functions.
