Or, you can make two drinks at the same time. That’s ideal for couples or times when you’re entertaining friends! Maintenance Essentially a much ( much) nicer version of a capsule coffee machine, the E6 puts out espresso shots, coffee, americanos, and milk drinks like cappuccinos and macchiatos. But, unlike other espresso machines, it does all of this with the touch of a button: Place your cup under the spout, press cappuccino, listen to the machine grind a perfect serving of beans, and watch a frothy cappuccino appear in the cup. It’s that easy, and the results actually taste like coffee shop drinks (not water single-serve espressos). Both models include the Pulse Extraction Process, CLARIS water filter and TFT display. They also both have an automatic frothing system and the same size water tank. Without further ado lets delve into the different aspects of brewing coffee and see how it does. The beans

Most importantly, the cappuccino taste and texture is excellent. The E6 consistently produces luxurious and lightly frothed milk, so each drink looks fantastic. Just make sure to use descaling kits recommended by the brand and avoid vinegar for this. Otherwise, you could alter the flavor of your coffee for good. Being a fully automatic bean to cup machine the E6 also comes complete with an internal milk system, which will produce frothed milk on demand.

Key Features of the Jura E6

The machine has a large, color TFT screen with amazing resolution that offers a clear menu and simple navigation. Speaking of taking up any spot in the home, you’ll be pleased to know that the Jura machine isn’t too large. The front panel has an intuitive TFT display with clearly labelled buttons for espresso, cappuccino, coffee and milk foaming. Making an espresso is as simple as pressing the “espresso” button and choosing a strength and length. Cappuccino is just as easy, as the automatic milk frother handles everything for you (rather than needing to manually froth the milk). Eleven different drink options, soo matter what you enjoy sipping on, you can make it with the Jura E6 coffee machine. The good news is that the E6 has a few special features that make it more durable and easier to maintain than other machines on the market.

How does the E6 compare to other bean-to-cup coffee machines though? Does it produce tasty and aromatic espresso? And is it worth the money? Keep reading our review to find out. Key Features What are the differences between them though? Only the E8 provides the option of using pre-ground coffee. The E8 also has a bigger bean hopper. Most importantly, the E8’s cappuccino system is fully automated, rather than the semi-automated function included with the E6. Verdict Inside you will find the same clever brew unit from the more expensive Jura coffee machines. This includes the intelligent pre-brew Aroma System (I.P.B.A.S.), which like any pre-infusion unit, wets the beans before the pressure builds, guaranteeing consistent and full flavoured coffee. The E6 then takes these super fresh beans and passes them through its clever Multi-level Aroma G3 conical burr grinder. Without boring you with all the detail of how, what this burr grinder does is preserve more coffee aroma, and takes less time. With all the key features out of the way, it’s time to take a look at what Jura does well and what it doesn’t.For one thing, the machine has indicators on the touchscreen that let you know when it’s time to maintain the machine. In fact, the Aroma G3 grinder allegedly allows for more than 12.2% more aroma than other coffee grinders! As with all Jura, the E6 coffee machine does automate more of this than most, meaning you get more time to enjoy the coffee and have to spend less time fiddling about. When you pair that with the interchangeable milk outlet, you get easy-to-use milk-steaming tools. The result is truly great beverages.

Maintenance can get expensive. Once your warranty is up, if you need to replace anything on your espresso machine you’ll need to be prepared to pay quite a bit of money. The P.E.P system isn’t the only piece of proprietary Jura tech that makes for a great cup of coffee. When you’re ready to make drinks, choose from one of the options on the machine’s display screen: espresso, coffee, Americano, cappuccino, macchiato, or Caffè Barista. The machine then grinds a serving of beans and pulls the coffee using a high-performance 15-bar pump. Water is pumped through the grounds in bursts using Jura’s Pulse Extraction Process (PEP), which yields rich, full-flavored results to rival a barista’s creations. Buyers of the E6 don’t get away Scott free though, you will need to remove the water tank, the coffee grounds bin and soak them from time to time. Plus you should probably give the whole thing a wipe down after each use.

Strictly speaking no it cannot make a Latte. This is because it does not produce hot milk, it only makes foam. But if it is only occasionally then you can warm milk separately to make a Latte, it would just be a fuss to have to do it daily. Delonghi or Jura? If you’re looking for a coffee machine that turns fresh beans into a wonderful espresso in a relatively short time, the E6 is a great choice. The machine also warns you when the filter is nearing the end of its life. It’s important to replace the filter, as this keeps the machine free from limescale and reduces impurities in the water. Other Features The Jura E6 features all the best of Jura technology, such as its PEP extraction process (more on that later) and aromatic grinder. This allows the aromas to fully develop, giving you a cup of coffee that smells as good as it tastes! The E6 is capable of so many things from barista quality espresso to perfectly textured cappuccinos, so to keep the review easy to digest, I have broken it down into the key sections. The important part here is the E6 makes milk foam and only foam, this does mean the range of coffee drinks available is limited to foam based drinks. So if you like things like a flat white then you need to upgrade to something like the Jura E8. Where the Jura E6 really stands out, however, is with its Pulse Extraction Process, P.E.P.. This is a cyclical process that ensures that the ideal extraction time is applied for each type of coffee. Finally, the brewing process is enhanced by the system’s CLEARYL water filters. This helps make sure you’ve got high-quality water pumping through your beans. IPBAS is a brewing process that allows the coffee bean to fully develop its flavor. That’s true regardless of the blending or roasting of the coffee.
