I absolutely adore their relationship, it was so amazing to just see their characters grow together. The way they both got so much happier when they were together, and the way they were each other’s biggest hype man/woman >>> Their relationship was so deep, because they knew each other so well from the start.

Cade was burned by a woman and he’s just here to focus on his kid, work, and family. He doesn’t want a relationship but there is just something about Willa. A grumpy hero that is soft with his son and starts to thaw for his nanny… seriously you just can’t go wrong with this book. The sweetest scenes, the family stuff that I adored and the steam was top notch. I love Elsie Silver’s writing style and she killed it with this book. Do you think about me?” I blurt, watching him still the minute those words leap from my lips. “When we go weeks or months without talking or seeing each other . . . do you think about me?” I was excited for this one bc I read the first two books (didn't like the first one much but loved the second.) and Jasper was always such an enigma and I was curious about his story. Jasper is an NHL goalie and Sloane is a prima ballerina, they have been friends since childhood but Sloane has always been in love with Jasper. She is engaged to another man when things go wrong and Jasper and Sloane have to confront the feelings they have had for each other for years.

Sometimes he was more asshole than grump and seemed to hate all women. Enter Willa, a 25 year old, confident, takes no shit type woman. She immediately hits it off with Cade’s adorable son Luke and now Cade must behave himself, because this woman won’t let him treat her badly, she lays down the law and he is desperate for a nanny so he shapes up. I love a FMC that doesn’t take any crap from a grumpy hero and I love a MMC who respects her for it and changes his tune.

I was a bit frustrated by what led to Sloane heading to the altar with a complete twit like her fiancé. He seems so absolutely clueless that it made me think a bit less of her that she let herself end up there.. but that's all part of the journey. I arch a brow at him as goose bumps break out over my body. The air between us sizzles. “Excuse me?” When her wedding falls apart, Jasper is there for Sloane, like he’s always been. And she’s there for him when he needs her the most. But suddenly, being close is so different. It’s more like man and woman and less like friends, and yet not enough. Baby steps.I even like the little shimmer of silver strands dusted throughout his dark hair. Older guys. They’ve always done it for me. I turn my head in, my lips dusting across her forehead. “Yeah.
