Versatility: This pedal can do it all! It works with guitars, keyboards, drums… you name it. It’s the ultimate Swiss Army Knife of reverb pedals. The Ensemble switch is another exciting feature of the Cloudburst. It opens up a world of previously unheard, captivating sounds that respond dynamically to your guitar signal. Whether you want to add harmonically rich, ethereal dimensions to your ambient soundscapes or hear a lush synthetic string section enhance your guitar playing, this switch has got you covered. Unleash your creative potential with the versatile Strymon Cloudburst Reverb Pedal Sometimes a single pedal can be transformative, allowing your tone to bloom in a way that draws music out of you effortlessly and keeps you engaged for hours on end.The simple look and feel of Cloudburst belies the power underneath the hood, because it produces some of the most gorgeous ambient reverb tones and soundscapes that you’ve ever heard out of a guitar reverb pedal – there’s literally nothing else quite like it.Sometimes a single pedal can be transformative, allowing your tone to bloom in a way that draws music out of you effortlessly and keeps you engaged for hours on end. Our most profound moment with the Cloudburst however, happened when we paired it with other esoteric pedals, such as the Chase Bliss Mood or the Hologram Electronics Microcosm. In tandem with either of these, the Cloudburst is transformed into a glitchy weapon of lo-fi ambience that Thom Yorke could write an album on top of. All the premium components, sound quality, and road worthiness you expect from a Strymon reverb pedal are in Cloudburst’s new compact format. It’s got our discrete JFET analog front end, ultra-quiet 116dB signal to noise performance, a powerful ARM Superscalar processor, stereo input/output, and full MIDI control. Featuring unbeatable ease of use and producing some of the finest reverb sounds we’ve ever created; Cloudburst could easily be the only reverb pedal you need on your pedalboard.

Functionality is improved over Strymon's now discontinued Brigadier with midi and stereo-in and instead of Long, Medium and Short voices we have two named after popular BBD chip types – 3205 and 3005 – and a 'Golden Ratio' mode called Multi. The Filter and Modulation are voiced specifically to the mode you're in, effectively offering you three BBD delay pedals in one compact unit. Adjusts the high-end content of the reverb. Lower settings create darker, warmer reverberation. Higher settings are bright and crisp. NOTE: Also affects the presence of the ENSEMBLE effect.

Strymon gives the BigSky Cloud algorithm its own pedal as the first in a new, more compact series – and it sounds phenomenal

Stamp on the Clipping footswitch and it engages the alternative clipping options, all six of which are accessed via an oxblood-coloured rotary knob. The other footswitch bypasses/engages the effect. Finally, we wanted to create a pedal that was the most simple and intuitive to use of any product we’d ever designed. So, with Cloudburst, there are no secondary or “ hidden ” functions. The pedal is controlled by just a few knobs and a switch exactly as they are labeled, so you can instantly dial up the perfect sound with no learning curve required. These American-made pedals are not only built like tanks, but they offer incredible tones too. History of Strymon So the core Cloud Algorithm with Ensemble set to Off is already supremely versatile and varied - while Ensemble then delivers two different degrees of a Synth-like Ensemble Strings Pad. With the Tone at lower levels those Strings sound more Cello-like, while higher up you get increasingly sharper Violins! The Tone knob really has an extraordinary range.

But the real cherry on top of these videos is when Strymon’s co-founder and reverb wizard, Pete Celi, takes you on a guided tour of the Cloudburst. He shares his secret sauce and enthusiasm for crafting the ultimate reverb experience and gives you a VIP behind-the-scenes look at what makes the Cloudburst a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. We had some very lofty goals in mind with Cloudburst, and foremost on the list was creating the best-sounding single algorithm reverb we possibly could. We knew that we wanted to provide the spacious experiences from BigSky’s Cloud machine at higher decay settings, and we set about tailoring the short end of the decay range to generate a huge variety of natural and studio-quality smaller spaces as well. The Cloudburst reverb pedal is a versatile and easy-to-use tool that can help you express yourself in many ways. From small rooms to infinite spaces, this pedal has you covered, making it the perfect choice for musicians who want to explore new sonic territories. Reverb is a must-have for guitar players; it brings their sound to life and adds extra oomph. The Strymon Cloudburst is shaking up the reverb pedal game with its cool features and versatility. In addition to these in-depth videos, the Strymon team also showcases their great work culture by sharing a staff jam video. Clearly, the Strymon team is passionate about their work and loves creating innovative guitar pedals. And with their commitment to quality and their desire to help guitarists get the most out of their pedals, it’s no wonder that the Strymon group is one of the most respected names in the guitar effects world.
