Whether you prefer a flat white or a straight-up espresso, we’ve uncovered pods that will get your taste buds tingling. And if you want to switch to a cheaper or compostable pod, we've uncovered the best of those too. Nespresso® coffee machines collect a fair amount of oils, tannins and granules build-up inside the brewing chamber of the coffee machine that you cannot get rid of with conventional cleaning methods, not even by descaling your machine. With this cleaning kit from Caffenu, we've made sure you can easily and effectively take the best care of your machine. The kit contains one dose of descaling agent and 4 cleaning pods to ensure your Nespresso® machine performs like new. There is a huge selection of pods for Nespresso®. For the Nespresso® machine you can get both Nespressos® own coffee pods and compatible pods from many other coffee manufacturers. There is a huge selection from which to find the capsule that best suits you. Recommended usage:The general recommendation is to use one Cleaning Capsule after every 30 cups of coffee made, but at least once a month.

See how the different coffee pod brands compare on recycling, price and range of coffees in our guide to Reusable, recyclable and compostable coffee pods. The idea to make a perfect cup of coffee from a small capsule comes from Nestlé, which is behind the brand Nespresso®. Nestlé is one of the world's largest and oldest food producers. Put the machine into descaling mode — You have to press different buttons to turn on the descaling mode. This varies by machine model: This routinely doesn’t work on the first try, but don’t worry! Make sure you eject the used capsule (open and close the lid). If it still doesn’t work, open and close the lid and try again. It can take several tries, and try different speeds of pressing the button three times in two seconds (trust me, it’s not broken).Since starting the FASTer Way to Fat Loss, with intermittent fasting, my morning coffee time has been more important than ever. I wake up early when the rest of the house is asleep, make my coffee and catch up on reading, or writing in total quiet! I love resetting my day like this, but was truthfully stumped when I realized that I never thought to clean my machine! If you follow me on IG, you know I post my coffee in stories almost every day! Mike Nunn – head of training at Monmouth Coffee Co, which has been roasting and selling coffee since 1978 You should clean your Nespresso machine to keep it running smoothly for a long time and to ensure you have the best-tasting coffee. Wipe down the machine’s exterior and clean the water tank, drip tray, and capsule container at least a few times a week. You should also descale the machine every three months, or as soon as you notice differences in coffee taste. The red and green light mean it’s time to descale the Nespresso machine. Plan to descale every three months or 300 capsules for the best results. In the beginning it was only possible to make coffee with the original Nespresso® pods in the Nespresso® machine. Today there are plenty of cheaper alternatives - compatible pods.

In addition, your Nespresso® machine brews so much coffee that it can often cause dirt and bacteria to build up in the system. Not only is this unhygienic, it also affects the taste of your coffee. We made each coffee using a Nespresso machine that had performed well in our coffee machine tests, and asked our experts to taste it both with and without milk. If you are looking for a coffee with an intense and sweet taste, choose dark-roasted Arabica beans. If, on the other hand, you prefer coffee with a bit of acidity, a blend of lightly roasted Arabica and Robusta beans is the right choice for you. The hardness of the water in Denmark means that our coffee machines and kettles often become calcified. So remember to descale it at least every 3 months - depending on how much you use it, of course.Clean other parts of the Nespresso machine — This is a good time to clean the capsule container and drip tray and wipe down the machine. The environmentally conscious coffee lover can use compatible compostable pods instead of the polluting aluminium pods. Some compatible pods are also organic and carry the fair trade and rainforest alliance label. Improved Coffee Flavour:Enhances the flavour and aroma of your coffee by cleaning the brewing chamber.
