About this deal

What I really like is all the functions are simple, clear, and easy to use – from speed adjustment to GPS settings.

When assembling the frame one thing I was a little disappointed by was the fact that the front wheel is not actually part of the main chassis. Instead you have to attach the front wheel and bar to the trolley yourself. Don't get me wrong, this is no tough task and took me no longer than two minutes with the Allen key and washers provided with the trolley, however I just didn't expect to do it. For the price tag you'd expect PowaKaddy to have done this for you. has brought with it a lot of surprises. A great looking new electric trolley from market-leaders PowaKaddy, however, is not one of them. For the past 20 years, fantastic new products with style, reliability and a guarantee of the finest technology available is something we have come to expect year-on-year from the British golf trolley pioneers. There are a lot of new features on the Powakaddy FX7 electric trolley which this year are a welcome addition, but the 11kg or 25lb in weight still makes the unit quite difficult to lift and load into the car. The good news is Powakaddy have been working to develop their range of accessories and you can now find a towel, deluxe seat, drinks holder, travel cover, rain cover, umbrella holder, and winter wheels amongst their selection. Standard Battery (Lithium): the battery is for 18 holes and must be fully charged. This can take up to 7 to 10 hours after the round. We are aware that some golfers will try to stretch these batteries to 27 holes, this may damage the overall capacity of the battery and may result in an early failure. Playing more than 18 holes with an 18-hole battery can seriously shorten the battery’s life.Unlike the previous version, the FX7 is more compact and comes with a stunning new 3.5 inch full-colour widescreen display – raising the bar in terms of brightness and contrast. In addition to all of the features highlighted in the electric golf trolleys above, there are some other key considerations to bear in mind when comparing Powakaddy to Motocaddy. 1. Reliability and Repairs

There is also a distance measurement function that allows you to accurately measure the distance of drives and displays the total mileage of the trolley, and a competition mode that removes the features that are banned in the competitive environment. This is a great tool to help when pacing out yardages and really getting to grips with how far you hit the ball - especially off the tee. The CT8 has a height adjustable soft touch handle and uses the same anti-tamper dial found in the CT6, along with the Automatic Distance Function, allowing you to send the trolley ahead or to the next tee.In many ways you can see the journey Powakaddy has been on, they keep improving their product on each release, if like me you needed a new electric trolley because of wear and tear then it is a good option, the design of the electric trolley is decent, but the plastic build quality could be improved. Powakaddy's FX7 GPS Electric Golf Trolley draws on powerful, performance technologies that in the hands of golfers help them to shoot lower scores and focus on what matters most. The new FX7 GPS has bluetooth that surpasses even the highest expectations, allowing for course updates and alerts to be pinged straight to your devices. Designed to fold 20% smaller than the previous Powakaddy Freeway model, the Powakaddy FX7 is a convenient choice. It has the simplest folding system in the entire FX collection and makes it easier for you to fit in the boot of your car – transporting it to golfing events all over the country! The rechargeable remote control handset is one of the leading features of the Motocaddy M7 electric trolley. The simple button design means the trolley is easy to control and the pause and emergency stop functions make it one of the safest on the golf course. Key Considerations There isn't a feature I could really think of that PowaKaddy haven't covered with this trolley, apart from actually hitting your ball for you, it seems to do everything. So, I believe the main questions in this review are not about what it does, but how well it does it and are they really necessary to making life easier out on the course? The Test

Still, once attached and screwed in place it will be up to the golfer whether they choose to dismantle this section of the trolley after each use or not. Personally, if you have the boot size, once screwing it on once, I'd leave it on so this isn't a reoccurring faff.Over the years, it has been a proven performer and while it may not have quite the same folding capabilities of the new PowaKaddy Cube or DFX-Lite FF, it is completely set up to glide over all sorts of terrain with the minimum of effort. Extended Battery (Lithium): this can handle the occasional 36 holes, and this is as much as you should use it for before fully charging it again for your next round. Regularly using the battery for two rounds of golf on consecutive days means that the battery may not be fully re-charged in between and will damage the overall capacity of the battery or seriously shorten the battery’s life. If you regularly play two rounds of golf in one day, buy two batteries. Once you've screwed on the front wheel, you're away in seconds with the FX7 GPS trolley. Just make sure you don't loose that Allen key...!
