I couldn't suggest an audiobook version of this more. Their laughter is so contagious and I don't think i've laughed out loud during a book so much before.

Dec: but no less true. And after three decades together, we've written that book. Covering everything from a pirate radio storyline in Byker Grove through to the biggest shows on telly, this is our story. No I'm not obsessed. It's fascinating. I mean, the bond, the love for each other, the friendship, it's unlike any other. Then I'll ask myself which one I like best, because I'll watch a clip and I'll find Dec so adorable but then the next one, Ant's puns will be so hilarious, I'll have to ask myself again. In 2002, Ant and Dec devised a Saturday night television show that would have features like ‘Win the Ads’, ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Outa Me Ear!’ and ‘Little Ant and Dec’, who interviewed celebrities. The show first ran from 2002 to 2009, when Ant and Dec thought they would ‘rest’ the show and do other things. In the first Pop Idol series, Will Young won and Gareth Gates was second. In the second, and final, series Michelle McManus won. This book was great, and gave us a detailed insight in to some of the main points of their career, from the Byker Grove days, to their pop career and then to the presenting days. It was written very well, from both of their perspectives and was like having a conversation with them. I love the relationship these two have with each other, their friendship is like no other and it’s clear to see how they have always been there for each other and supported each other. This audiobook is just brilliant, the PDF photo book to accompany the storytelling is a wonderful touch and the nice surprising at the end of them reading this superbly written book is what really made me laugh. My personal favourite was the PJ and Duncan section.... as I was a huge fan growing up! Also loved the photos that were included, some made me laugh out loud.

In December 2001 Ant and Dec decided to leave ‘SMTV: Live’ and ‘CD:UK’ for pastures new — Saturday Night TV. For the first time in many years, all we talked about were deep things like how we felt, and what the future held, and where we were, and all the chaos that has come along, especially for me," McPartlin told the magazine. THAT incident is mentioned - briefly and simply as the time Ant wasn't on TV. I certainly didn't expect gory details to be raked over, but it might have been interesting to hear more about how Dec had to pivot his entire career pretty much instantly to keep three of the nations biggest shows on air solo for the first time, especially in a book about your time on TV.In 2015, Ant was prescribed painkillers for botched surgery on his knee. Over the next two years, he became dependent on the drugs and on alcohol. In 2017, he entered rehab to deal with his addictions, and returned to work in the November.

You even get an accompanying PDF on audible to show all the photos discussed in each chapter. Some brilliant photos! If anyone wants a funny and just brilliant audiobook to listen to then Once Upon a Tyne is the one!Not only are these two funny on the telly but they are funny together. You can relate to those best mate laughs and giggles. It was a great day when they met because they didn’t know it then but they made a lifelong career decision that day. PJ and Duncan had other chart hits including ‘U Krazy Katz’ and ‘Stepping Stone’ among others. However, a few years later they changed musical direction. In 1997 they changed their duo name from ‘PJ and Duncan‘ to ‘Ant and Dec’, which are their real names. As ‘Ant and Dec’ they had a few more songs out like ‘Shout’, but it was a short lived career move. After 3 albums they decided enough was enough as they didn’t enjoy the popstar experience and they couldn’t write songs. Ant and Dec agreed to quit their popstar life. At first, Ant and Dec didn’t have many scenes together, so they didn’t get to know each other. However, that changed later in the year of 1990. They found they got more scenes together and found they had things in common, like Newcastle football club, and hanging out at shopping centres and attending gigs. Ant and Dec came together to create a new show about their ancestors and to find out where they both came from. The programme was made over two years and Ant and Dec journeyed to places such as Ireland and United States of America. The most amazing part of their DNA journey was that they actually found out that they were in fact distant relations of each other!

Ant and Dec’s most famous song as PJ and Duncan was ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble!’ which reached the number 9 in the UK music charts in July 1994. Little did they know at the time that 19 years later they were going to have a number 1 UK music chart hit with the same song! Byker Grove is a town in Newcastle, in the North East of England. The TV programme was based in a youth club in the town of the same name, which captured the moments of teenage lives. Dec had been in the children’s TV series Byker Grove for a year before Ant joined. Dec: and as another Chinese proverb says, 'If you've been in a double act with your best mate for 30 years, why not write a book about all your most memorable moments in three decades of showbusiness?' And as another Chinese proverb says, 'If you've been in a double act with your best mate for thirty years, why not write a book about all your most memorable moments in three decades of showbusiness?' I was binge-watching Chatty Man, Graham Norton show, Friday night with Jonathan Ross and yes, BGT (don't ask, I'm just really in the brit-show phase right now), and I was drawn to these people who are always making people laugh; David Walliams and Ant&Dec most especially. I think I've watched all the interviews with them on youtube and I bought and finished Camp David last week (I'm still thinking if I'll do a review on that one, it's just so sad).I've always been a fan of Ant and Dec, and this book is for other fans but also anyone that just wants a laugh!! In November 2021, Ant and Dec announced that they had written a children's book titled 'Propa Happy'. The book will be published on 26th May 2022 with all proceeds going to the NSPCC. Keeping up tradition, Ant and Dec were once again crowned the winners in the Best Presenter category at the 2023 National Television Awards, making it 22 years in a row. The pair attended the ceremony and thanked fans in their acceptance speech. Despite the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Ant and Dec were able to present the 2020 series of I'm A Celebrity from Gwrych Castle in North Wales!
