They are big and more than one child can play with them at a time. This is a great toy and I’d buy it again. The sections don’t leak a lot but it’s enough that along with all the splashing, it turned out to be a mess. I also hadn’t thought about how to get the water out of it while it’s sitting on the kitchen floor. So I DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR INDOOR USE. Outside, however, it’s awesome! They love this and I fully recommend it. The only thing I don’t like is that the little boats take on water. It gets inside the little boats and it’s really hard to get out. All in all, great toy, super fun, good quality.
