About this deal

Lastly, on the fit, this is where it may cause quite a divide in opinions and hence the score. I’m giving it an above-average score since I personally do not have a problem with the fit, but this earphone doesn’t have the most universal shape. Ultimately, whether it is a good fit for you will vary for different people but what I can say is that changing the tips to something more comfortable will definitely help in achieving a good seal and bringing the best out of these. Sound (Score: 7.5/10) All products sold on Headphone Zone carry a GST compliant invoice and all products sold include an 18% GST. The bass extends nice and deep, and has enough definition to let you enjoy the subtle note changes from a jazz double bass, that are often washed out and blurred on speakers. I drove them with my headphone amp ( Drop THX AAA 789), a Sony DAP and an iPad. They proved easy to drive with all three.

The second half is slightly compensated for and the gain of the bell emancipates the female voices and brings a degree of clarity and cleanliness, but pushes the first half even further away. There is a steep rise and this contrast disturbs a quiet, calm listen, as balance and equilibrium are lost. On the one hand there is a bass stage that can become massive and then a high mid-high and early treble enhancement. The sensation of hollowness can become apparent. The T3 is a little brighter, more clinical, and analytical than the BL-03. It has a depth to the sound and space between the instruments that the BLON‌‌ IEM‌ doesn’t have. It’s just more resolving of minute details in the music.

Now I know there has been… high expectations for my opinion on the BL03. It certainly has not made writing this review any easier, especially when I’ve been seeing people so confidently predicting that I’d rank these in the B ranks or even up in A! vs BLON BL-05SThe BLON BL-05S is my personal favorite BLON till date. It offers the best technicalities among all BLON offerings that I’ve tried and the tuning is pretty solid as well. The fit is a notable improvement over the BL-03 and even the BL-MAX but the cable and tips still require swapping out. I prefer to use the bi-flange spinfit tips, which provide a deeper insertion and offer enough flexibility to seat the BL-03 securely, which is hard given their shape and short nozzle for me personally. This set is light and comfortable, I have used the E3000 for hours upon hours without any discomfort. I don’t detect any driver flex either. Internals

The iBasso IT00 are a U-shaped set that have better extension at both ends (treble/bass) than the E3000. The IT00’s bass is faster and more textured, with more sub-bass quantity and extension. There’s not a lot to say about the shells of the BLON BL-03, as the exterior design is very simplistic. The metal shells have a teardrop shape and a polished chrome-coloured surface. On the inner side of the shell, there’s a small vent near the base of the nozzle. Despite trying each tip size multiple times, I genuinely struggled to get the supplied eartips settled into my ears in the correct position. They were either applying too much pressure, or refusing to sit still in the sweet spot for any length of time.

Though, I seem to hear a kind of low bass rattling, I did not compared yet with other earphones, just wanted to know if anyone here experiences it. Maybe it is just the songs, or my pair, or me.. The E3000 are a dark and very bassy set. So these IEMs synergize better with analytical or brighter sources. Pairing the E3000 with a warm and analogue-sounding source will just make things very mushy and nebulous! Final Audio E3000 Sound The BLON BL-03 are shaped like drops, with the summit hosting the 2-pin connector for the cable. The shells are entirely made of metal; they have a shiny, polished finish that make them appear chrome-plated. They’re basically chrome drops! They look oddly (and a bit unsettlingly) organic, as they only have curved lines and surfaces. I wouldn’t deem them out of place in a modern art museum (but that’s possibly also because of my poor understanding of modern art).

Disclaimer : This unit was won on a raffle between my audio peers. No money was involved during this review, rest assured that everything written on this review will be unbiased. It reminds me a lot of the Drop+ JVC HA-FWX 1 and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a budget friendly alternative. The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user Nonetheless with certain kinds of music like the Spitfire the experience is immaculate and you are going to feel like sitting next to the subwoofers. I tested the BLON BL-03 using various gear, including a Topping D30 feeding a Venture Electronics RunAbout 2.0bl and a Topping DX7 while at the desk, plus a Shanling M2X while on the go. In both cases source files were chiefly FLAC files ripped from CDs (16 bit, 44.1 kHz). BLON BL-03
